I logged back into one of my referral accounts, and started doing the fusion just to see if I could from a cold start. I had 6M silver, literally 0 shards, and missed IG tournament. Not a great position.

I managed to complete champ chase by getting ronda, djamarsa and relickeeper. I popped ancients as I got them (about 10 total with average luck), and camped out at the market for the last 200 points. It was really sketchy at some point, as I didn't check my potion stocks and was literally 1 minor blue potion short of being able to fuse relickeeper. I was saved by CvC, where you get greater potions in the milestones (at tier I only!)

I won arena I and champ chase, so now I have made up for missing IG and got the extra 5 frags needed to skip summon rush! If I win another tourney, I can skip artifact III as well.

Also, FK was a pain in the ass, running stage 7 (LOL). Spider 10 and dragon 16 will be much easier.

Overall I'm really happy I managed to do this. Pythion is a great progress champ, so I'll now be able to develop a true ftp account!

Ouch - for me the first Artifact Enhancement Event capped at 4000 points. The second one was at 6500. Cost me nearly 20 million silver. Hope that's because I was upgrading 6* legend and epic artifacts rather than 4-5* rare+ ones. Will need to be much more careful for the third artifact event! 

2nd one is only 4700.  I don't remember what first was

3 Lego books in easy range on Summon Rush.  I cant get them.  I am very close on shards.  

Well, the dungeon divers is out of reach on my alt account. Running spider 10 is just so bad for divers, and I have less than 300 gems. I can't reach the milestone even if I was running stage 3 (the best for DD points per energy).

So now I have to skip this event, and I have to get top 2 in the arena II tournament... it's gonna be a close one.

I will do the fusion, have to ask however is the summon rush the highest target we have seen?

I do not record them, but almost 5k points feels like a higher than normal requirement.

Just checked, in the Maranix fusion, the epic Tomoe was at 4925 of the summon rush

They have historically been 3500 points to get all 20 fragments. Ukko and Dreng recently. But all the others as well.

An epic is very different than a few Fragments. Epics are basically a huge skip in the classic style fusions. A way to skip 4 rares AND the time to level them to fuse. :)

Depends on where one is in the game but it can certainly be very tough to have a good chunk of mysteries on hand as well as be focused on progressing your account even while conserving resources for fusions.

Looking at this from an early to mid game point of view: I can see how a lot of players might've gotten forced into tougher spots on this fusion. The training event/tourney, dungeon events/tourneys and champ chase were mostly in line with recent fusions, though I believe the training event was easier while Dungeon Divers 1 was tougher. Artifact Enhancements likely got very pricey for a good chunk of players at ~4700 points for each, so I wouldn't be surprised if some had to skip that. 

So, based off of the tournaments and events - especially the prior shard one - I can't blame anyone who thought Summon Rush would be closer to the usual 1750/3500 for 5 and 15 frags rather than point totals that are in line with the rare and epic in classic fusions.

I've no actual issue with this fusion being tougher due to its quality, but we're talking 400/1425 point jumps in Summon Rush which is ~20% and ~40% respectively. I think that's even more jarring for anyone who was attempting it that doesn't yet have the full point requirements due to being earlier on, level wise. 

I think skipping events early and planning for best case scenarios is a recipe for disappointment...

In some ways this was still the easiest fusion, but only if your overall resource management is very good.

All around it seemed fairly easy even thPugh it's frags, given the champ.  There were a few high benchmarks, but there was also a lot of overlap.  I can't remember the last time a diver's was basically free just for doing two overlapping tournaments, not to mention it overlapped training as well.
