Wtf is up with the artifact enhancement in this fusion? Did they enhance the benchmark for the fragments compared to past events? Or was I only extremly unlucky while upgrading? It took me 20 million do get the fragements, and there are 2 more artifact events coming. 

I'm pretty sure I never had to use 60 million silver to get a champ before.

this one is higher than normal. the fragments (or champion) most commonly fall at the 2600 or 3300 point marks. though it does sound like you had some worse than average luck while upgrading as well.

Also, if you are only doing 6star artifacts it is significantly more expensive than 5star. At least I think...

Does this passive of his stack with other copies of himself? If you have 2 in your team, can you mitigate up tp 2x25% or is just the one instance?

And what about Norog, can he stack his passive with other Norogs or at least, with Pythion's?

It cost me 16m.  And I focus on 5 star as much as I can.  

Sorry, just to make sure I don't screw up my first fusion attempt... the summon rush is worth 20 fragments, is that usually a +5 and then a +15?

So far this fusion has been a breeze. I certainly didn't expect the best fragment fusion ever to have events line up so well, nor to have the points as low as they were on Champ Chase.

Well, that was a surprise - originally thought I wouldn't be able to get all fragments from the Champion Chase, but in the end opened 35 ancients, nearly 1500 mystery shards, plus did the Relickeeper fusion and was able to 3,000 points - which netted all fragments plus a legendary book as a bonus.

And to top it off, I was second in our group, so I got another 5 fragments for that achievement!

Am also riding high in the Classic Arena I challenge so there's a good chance of getting yet another 5 bonus fragments, though I'll need to drop down from Silver IV to keep things steady as it's getting a bit tough in there. :)

I'm there with ya.  Taking a day or two break.  Equipped me rat king to complete the enhancement.  Only a few minutes ago so i ran him solo in mino.  Does 60 - 75 sec runs.  Will see what else he can do.

I just subtly harassed in my clan chat that the next 40 hours are a good time for hydra.   Like herding cats...😆

has it gotten harder for you as everyone's gotten mithrala/stone skin improvements have been harder to come by?

Our clan has lost a few late gamers, added some n00bs.... so some just aren't ready to progress there, some just hate it (lol), but a few are improving and responding to my gentle prodding :)

This was my game time today. Hydra hydra hydra. Just sitting at 55 fragments until Wednesday when we kick off again. Expect to be done by Friday with Pythion.

Knowing that I must finish top 2 in a tourney somewhere,  is there any use in putting in an arena def team of food right now to make my rating plummet? 

I'm in gold 2, and on average in any list of 10 opponent choices,  I can beat 3 or 4. But if the next arena tourney starts and I'm down in silver 2, I'd prob cream 8 or 9 of each 10 and bring in a ton more wins for the tourney?

Silly me - for some reason I completely forgot that skillups counted toward Champion Training, and did all mine on Tuesday for CvC instead - about 3,000 points worth! Still, I should be able to complete Champion Training anyway, just miss out on a couple of rewards because of mis-timing skillups.

This is the strategy I'm following, and it allowed me to win my group for Classic Arena I. :)

However, I also used every single arena wing I got through the day, too, and couldn't allow myself to get complacent even when I took a clear lead.
