Why are lower ranks allowed to kick members?

Hello Plarium,

What is the purpose of giving lower ranks the power to kick members getting away status?

This makes zero sense to me, a member taking vacation should not automaticly risk being kicked by random members, this is why we have ranks from start to only allow selected people to do this so why on earth change this because of a players status.

Please explain this to me because i cannot think of any scenario where this makes sense.

Thanks for a great game

PS: Please bring the league chests back <>

League chests still exist, they just far between and a fraction of what they once used to be.

Hello.

This feature was added in terms of the League Activity feature that is not added to plarium.com servers yet.

Even with this change, not anyone can delete anyone. Only Commanders and Fighters received a new previlege of deleting the inactive players of the lower Ranks.

It was done in case Marshal or Captains are not in time to delete the inactive players and save the League from being dismissed.

To prevent the situation when inactive player is deleted and Marshal doesn't know who did it, devs plan to start adding this information to the Heralds reports. So, it will be clear who did what he shouldn't.

As for the League Chests, they won't be added back as before, but at least devs added them to some Special offers again

anyone leaving the league should be in the herald including the ones that are removed by Plarium due to inactivity - giving lower ranks the power to do this is not right it will just prevent leagues from promoting players to the higher ranks of fighters and commanders to maintain firmer control of the league.  What is the difference if Plarium does it or a fighter does it if its based on activity?

If the Marshall and all the Captains are inactive for that long I would assume that the league is inactive

If this feature is to be added it should be as with the ability to send troops home from a beacon and the Marshall can choose who has the authority not just all fighters or commanders in general.

Also if a player is going to be removed because they are on a vacation or busy with life in general their defense that is on the fortress should be as it is with beacons and go directly to catacombs when they are removed so that they do not find huge troop losses when they return to the game.

Can you confirm that this is going to become effective on Dark Plains and when it is planned.

Further clarification on what you deem "inactive" is also needed.  As previously stated some people get busy in real life with work or go on vacation, etc so exactly how long can someone go without logging in before they are removed from a league?

Hello, Lady Jezebel.

Let me highlight the main points of this feature:

1. The player becomes inactive if he/she doesn't login to the game for more than 14 days.

2. The League can be dismissed if its activity is below 60% for more than 14 days. Means that even if a couple of your players become inactive, it doesn't mean you need to remove them from the League at once. There are two moments to consider here:

- does the fact they become inactive decreased the League activity below 60%? If no, then nothing to be worried about.

- will they be back within the next 14 days? If yes, nothing to be worried about.

So, in sum, a player has 28 days to come back to the game, avoid being removed from the League and avoid the League itself being dismissed.

Please note that we don't remove inactive players from the League from our end. Only players can do it.

3. Players from League Academy are not counted in the League activity statistics. It means you can change the Rank of the player to Neophyte instead of removing him from the League and add him back once he is active again.

4. Players who passed away and are under Oberon's protection, doesn't count in the activity as well.

5. While increasing the Rank of the player to Commander or Fighter just take into account that his player will be able to remove inactive players from the League. You can set some Rules regarding this procedure in your League. This moment can be solved by right cooperation in the League.

6. Yes, devs plan to add this feature to plarium.com as well in the future. I don't have ETA yet on when it will be done.

I suggested many moons ago that the Herald needs to clarify whether a player has LEFT the league or been REMOVED from the league, there is a world of difference between the the two.

Once this 'inactive' feature is implemented being able to see the difference will be vital if non-officer ranks are going to be given dismissal rights.

I would suggest that the ability for them  to demote to Neo would be more reasonable

All this to remove inactive defence...... because as we all know the game has a massive offence overpowering def problem.... doh!!!

The above post from CM is just mental and losely translates to.... "because we have introduced a really bad feature that leagues below 60% activity are disbanded, we have now had to add a 2nd really bad feature that allows low ranking members the power to kick players to help sort out some of the really bad side-effects of the first really bad feature". Result, really bad update squared.

Making inept, game damaging decisions with no understanding of gameplay is bad enough, ignoring the player base when we point out how bad they are is just a crazy and hopeless situation.

The irony to all this is the survey they made to help them make things better. When they don't listen to the players in the first place :/

Again, any rank below Captain should not be able to remove players - if you want to add this feature then it should be the Marshall's decision who has the power and authority to do this (as with the ability to send offense on beacons back to the castles)

Devs accepted this suggestion and it will be added to the game in one of the future updates ;)

NON OFFICERS SHOULD NOT HAVE THIS POWER PERIOD.

What is the point in having ranks within a league if you are going to blatantly disregard the structure you created in the game to begin with?

Lady Jezebel, it doesn't disregard the structure in any way. This feature just adds more responsibility for Marshals while ruling their League. They just need to set strict policy regarding players removal.

This response just confuses me more, unless the intended consequence of the change is to cause more headaches for marshals with unnecessary internal drama within leagues.

League policies don't matter unless they can be enforced.  So the marshal needs the ability to disable this feature, otherwise a spy could kick out a bunch of members whos defense might be somewhere important, and being able to figure out who did it afterwards isn't good enough since the spy has already done the damage.  And as most of us know, it's not practical to just say "don't let in people you don't trust".  It's impossible to build a 160 member league and fully know and trust every person in it.  This is why it's important for the marshal to be able to control who is allowed to do what within the league.

You are pushing Marshalls out of the game - I have been sticking around for my league but if you are going to make my job as Marshall more difficult then i see no reason to keep playing - I can just as easily disband my league and send my members elsewhere

They also nerfed the activity rewards

We used to get free paragon activation (but it was immediately activated) but now we just get junk

This is the best for the biggest, most active league and smaller leagues get a lot less

As others have pointed out, the devs are adding a feature to the game that allows lower ranked players to kick others from the league once they become "inactive" by Plarium standards.  Regardless of policy and rules a Marshall can set, it does not change the fact that anyone in that rank can kick an "inactive" player.  They might catch heck for it later, but by then, the damage is done.

Consider what can cause a player to be inactive.  Vacation is a big one.  Military members play this game and when they're deployed, they don't always have ready access to internet...so the devs want people out serving their country to come back leagueless and with everything they had in the fort destroyed?  How about natural disasters?  As anyone reading the news over the summer knows, that can easily leave those in the most hard hit areas without power for more than 2 weeks.  While I'm sure a game would be the last worry on their minds, it would be the crappy cherry on top of the hell they'd already been through to come back to the game only to discover they're leagueless and all their fort defense was out in the open and destroyed by PvP hunters.

Before this "feature", they could be fairly secure that as long as the Marshall and Captains knew what was going on, their spot was secure.

While I do believe this change was well intentioned, nobody wants to see the league they've spent their whole game building dismissed, I see the execution of it as not very well thought out.  Of course, I'm also strongly opposed to dismissing "inactive" leagues because its just flat out disrespectful to the players.
