Update Highlights 2.12

Greetings, everyone!


Today we are announcing Update 2.12 - a smaller, yet important patch that will fix several Arena-centered issues and bugs to improve everyone’s game experience. You can see the entire list of changes below:

Arena Miscellaneous

Fragments of Drexthar Bloodtwin will become available to all players (Bronze Tier and above) in the Tag Team Arena Bazaar

Purchase cooldown for the Silver Accessory Chest in the Bazaar will be decreased to 1 day

AI is going to be adjusted to ensure your Champions prioritize using their Active Skills as opposed to killing a low-level enemy with Basic Skills. This should prevent high-end Arena Defense teams from being confounded by the sneaky tactics of taking a basic Common Champion along to trick the AI into wasting a turn

We'll adjust the matchmaking logic for generating your Opponents List in Tag Team Arena. It will now be more balanced, and you should see as Opponents list populated with Defenses closer to your strength.

A bug allowing players in the Platinum Tier Arena to gain more Arena Points than limits allow will be fixed

To ensure an active and competitive playing field, players that are inactive in Classic Arena Offense Battles will no longer show up in other players' Opponents Lists. This change will be implemented as soon as the list of your Opponents is refreshed - either manually or automatically.

Clan Boss


Starting from Update 2.12, Clan Boss Keys will be subtracted upon a successful completion of the battle (much like Faction Wars Crypt Keys). This should ensure that players no longer lose an important resource due to technical issues. Of course, the damage will also count at the end of the Battle.

Bugfix

Will fix a bug preventing Tormin the Cold’s skill [Wintry Wind (Passive)] from triggering when an opponent’s Turn Meter is filled

Will fix a bug that “removes” displayed Artifact Levels in the Artifact Storage after those Artifacts are upgraded

Will fix a bug that prevents players from seeing the number of Gold Bars they can earn for a Tag Team Arena battle

Will fix a bug preventing Champion models from loading properly under certain conditions when the player switches between tabs in the Portal upon logging into the game

How about fixing the bug with Tormin ignoring Block Debuffs and freezing right through it, which you have already claimed is fixed???

Unless I'm misunderstanding the issue.. you're supposed to lose points from Arena Defense defeats.

Tag team arena isn't really the issue. Facing OP teams in the lowest tiers of bronze in classic arena is the problem and add most new players are not able to realistically benefit from the rewards i.e. progress missions, medals for great hall bonus.

80% server account ceat stats (speed, res etc) mod developer pirate. Issue very big problem game. Account 700k the power 4 champs more 350 speed

Why does everyone keep commenting about fixing the arena, when it literally says in these patch notes that they are fixing the arena? Did you guys even read the patch notes before commenting? Look at these two comments:

This has a huge number of great fixes we have been waiting for. Is there any word on the 3v3 arena invisibility bug that freezes your game?

There is no problem with that. You lose points when you lose an arena match, so why should you stay in a higher arena bracket if your points drop below the threshold needed to be in that bracket.


I know its frustrating when it happens, happens to me as well, but that doesn't mean its a broken mechanic.


Classic arena has a certain point threshold for every rank, if you lose points and drop below it, then you should go down a rank.

Can you fix the refresh on opponents list where you get less than 10 and sometimes  as few as 1 since it’s been a known issue for a year now now

glad to read this, lot of clan member stop playing becouse they stuck in bronze 2 a whole month. now i can share a good news. hopefully they do it asap

I hope the release date of that is ASAP because the arena mechanics needs it now, good to see they have listened even if its taken longer than it should've


nice to see the cb key issue sorted too - have lost 3 keys due to this occurring and send support tickets for zero response which I knew would happen as so many I had spoken to had the same response

Could be nice theoretically, but so far the strength value is not even closely related to the actual strength of a team in any conceivable way. 

I regularly find myself battling teams of about 100k (vs my +/- 180k) that beat my team like it isn't there. And I'm not having a couple of common level 1's in the lineup, but a fairly good team that is also decently built. 


This makes Arena atm an extremely unpleasant part of the game.
 

I'd say there is a very serious error in how power is calculated.
