For me, the difference between this tournament and things like champions or Arbiter skins is that technically 100% of the population can get the latter ones.  It is actually impossible for more than 1% of the population to get this skin, because it is impossible for multiple people to get first place in the same tournament.  

There is a hard cap on the amount of people who will get this.  In theory 30% of the raid population can get Arbiter skins (which were still coming up for purchase for me recently).  In theory 50% can get Leorius.

Where are the 30% and 50% numbers coming from?

They were just theory numbers, and you are right in that technically 100% of the population could get the Arbiter skins.  This is why the fact that only 1% of the population being able to get the Coldheart skin is such an odd decision.  Plarium spent money and time to design, build and release something, which no-one will ever see

If all I wanted to do was see the skin in action, all I'd have to do is get the skin and take all of my teams with CH off of auto and put them on manual and sit there going "wow" "oh my" etc.

I would argue that you barely see the skins you own. You look at the champ in profile and it doesn't change their PfP in the selection screen. Offset side view is all you'll ever see of your new art.

I'd notice.  Coldheart is part of both my fireknight and spider teams, and I do frequently see my teams running, especially during fusion/fragment events.  It would be a nice change of pace to see slightly different versions

Still, even if that wasn't the case, I'm not sure I follow where you are going with this.  Do you think that skins shouldn't have been added to the game, or that it should only be kept to 1% of the player base?

Just came up on my game. Pricing is more reasonable than arbiter skins, still expensive for what it is. Complete sucker so probably going to get it.

unless you're using CH in some weird meme arena team, nobody will ever even see it?
