your math is likely correct, but your approach to optimizing the problem is lacking :)

Leveling 6* champs beyond a certain point (25 or 30 probably) is extremely inefficient.

I've burned 3k energy so far, and haven't 6starred anyone. Have 5200 points. 

12k training points is gonna be a sh!tty grind no matter how u do it, might as well make it as painless as possible.

I recommend anyone attempting fusion to create your 16 4star chickens (to rank up the epics) and vault them 1st.  Then head back to 12.3 :)

I had the fortune of playing during the 1 year anniversary/Christmas where they handed out energy like crazy. I currently have 88k energy and I will probably never run out 😝 and I haven't payed anything.

But I'm guessing they won't do that type of event again. 

Oh no question it's inefficient if your goal is to optimize points per energy for the event. I'm looking at it from the perspective of using the energy in a way that benefits me for the long-term too, though, and having multiple 6* champs to level to 25-30 is unlikely.

But yes - for this event specifically, absolutely get the 16 4-star food first.

Which I have found to be a benefit.  And not 100% true.  With CB, Doomtower, Tag Arena, Classic, and FW that occupies more than enough time.  Its really just a break from the grind, which Plarium has almost made necessary with the lack of regard for QoL with respect to the time needed to do anything... Forces patience (yes, I concede much easier to do in late game as I am) much like the prices make it easy to stay F2P :)

All fair points and good that you recognise it is different when end to mid game :)

I had prepared as much as you can as an early game f2p for this event since they announced it.  I had the two epic fusions pretty much ready to go with the fragments waiting and both levels of fusion pretty much ready.  I was disappointed that the summon rush didn't line up with the 2x because I had really been looking forward to it.  Did everything I could and then summoned the 10 that I was planning to for this event and got 1 epic.  Looked at the points, realized I probably wasn't getting Brogni and summoned another 10 and got 1 epic.  So now I'm at 1591 with 503 mystery, 7 ancient, 4 void and 2 sacred and I'm pretty sure I cannot do both the summons.  This fusion is just a horrendous first fusion.  I'm pretty much done I think, I've never come across a game which was more blind to the new player experience than this game and that is really saying something.
