Have no idea what tier you are in, but lets just say that i struggled to get out of gold 3 with an arbiter over 300 speed. So yeah you probably need more but you didn't say where you are :)

I'm happy to be in gold either way as it is allowing me to slowly make progress on my great hall. My question is how to avoid getting cut even when my HK takes the first move and  boosts my teams turn meter.

You are still 'git gut' i with my team cannot pass through s2/s3 :D

Sligth note, calculator shows absoule numbers (in terms of min speed), and taking assumption that opponents also will be perfectly tuned (which is very rare)

This shows silver is no easier than gold, i am currently in the process of sliding out of gold (i held G2 a couple of weeks by lots of refreshing but have decided not to bother anymore.)

My team is similar to yours- surprisingly similar numbers and same nuker

Apoth - 263 speed, lore of steel, 3x speed gear

Battlesage for the attack up- 240 speed (never cut in, if apoth goes first so does battlesage)

Draco as debuffer - 210 speed (sometimes i am cut in) - 270 accuracy ...to be fair rarely resisted

Zavia 205 speed (also cut in) - 4.5k attack, 200 crit damage, 101% crit rate

... if i speed zavia and draco up more it will cost accuracy/nuke power, and if i go dooble booster (HK to apoth) then i lose attack up as well..and i cant sit down defensive teams as it is, my team power is 132k and most defensive teams are 200k+

Oh to the OP, definitely use the arena calculator it is very good. Just remember the figures shown are true speed not sheet speed so you have to convert back to sheet speed.

As we struggle to stay in s2 or g2 it simply means that we have trash teams not worthy to be there :D

I could climp up to gold at some point, but im dragged down as you in defence (from milddle of s3 to middle of s2 overnight).

Just of  curisoity does your arena opponents rolls have are ususaly 20k+ stronger than your team?

Bestide all this  - everthing is git gut just our teams are weak :D

I just want to add, instead of enjoying the game, we all have to constantly calculate how to squeeze in better stats and look at the enemy team before you fight it. this has made the whole process a tad bit mechanical. dont know about others, but i suppose it was bound to happen after a certain point. I have dug out and old calculator and have started making notes.

Im about to hit S3 not G2 - i only stayed in G2 by refreshing every 15 minutes for ages and picking the magic affinity teams to nuke :)

Generally the speed teams i see are about 150k so about 20k above mine

The defensive teams i see are usually 200k+ and i cant nuke them down- generally if its blue affinity i can nuke teams up to 180k, other affinities it depends and of course some champs have aoe reduction abilities

I could replace draco with dhukk or warmaiden as they would do damage as well as debuff, but then i have to worry about affinities (draco places debuffs and has no worries on affinities) and i dont think i care enough to 6 star and equip them now, i am losing interest now. 

Yes it is quite funny that people have calculated their arena team speeds using mathematical formulas and tuned accordingly but get told 'learn to play'  ...the game is basically a lottery, pull the right champs and drop the right gear... and spend to improve your odds.

Yes and people are expected to do this to get out of the newbie zone of bronze.

I dont mind to do so, i kind of like it. Tuning where each % of stats or or 1-2 points of speed can make a differece :),

It is also becoming clear that if you wish to compete, you have to spend hundreds of dollars and this is not the fault of Plarium, this is how things are supposed to be. 

Thanks for actually being on topic in this thread. Help me be less stupid but according to this my ES needs 221 speed in order to not get cut in on? Or does that number go down with "sheet speed" and if so what is that number.

That number will go down with sheet speed, it will be about 200 sheet speed required

Edit just seen your sheet speed is 202, not sure how cut in, maybe you have opponents that turn the meter when you get a buff 

interesting because as in my op im already at 202 speed and get cut quit a bit atm.

Arena is indeed, beside the Doom Tower bosses, the most difficult part of the game. 

You really should avoid fighting teams with unnatural low teampower. The way the teampower (or power of a single hero) is calculated is just stupid. There is a thread about that, resistance counts a lot, while speed has only minor influence to teampower. So if you see a team that is in your tier (especially higher arena tiers), but has absurde low teampower, that's probably a nuker-team with enormous amount of speed. The chance that they will win the speedrace or interrupt is very high. On the other hand, teams like the one I fought here normally don't interrupt. 

Of course avoiding fights if the opponent has lower teampower and looking for teams with higher power to win is absurd, it's the opposite of what Teampower should indicate. Plarium should really rework that. Speed as most important stat in Arena raises the teampower only by a few points.

I never used an arena calculator, I'm to lazy to do that. I know wich teams will interrupt mine and avoid that fights. Of course, sometimes I get surprised by a faster than expected 🏃 enemy. Have to take that as price for not using the calculator.

I get what youre saying, my listed team power is 115k but I win vs teams with 160-180k pretty consitantly, and have beat teams with 225k. I avoid any team with <100k team power for this reason lol.

You need to go above the minimum speed specified in the calculator in order not to get cut in.
