Question - Answer from our Game Designers (January, 2020)

Hello, guys and girls!

Since the last time we posted a summary of our meeting with the Game Design department representatives, we have had a lot of time to collect and analyze quite a significant number of new prominent suggestions that arise in all of our communities daily (both in the official and unofficial channels). Our moderators helped us to create the list of matters that are being talked about by the player base frequently and that we then discussed with our Game Designers.

So here go their comments:


Suggestion 1: Increase the number of small potions on Stage 15 in Dungeons.


Game Dev Response: We’re planning to increase the minimum number of small potions on Stage 15 from 3 to 7 in patch 1.14.


Suggestion 2: Endless HP for CBs (limit of received Chests in 24 hours).

Game Dev Response: We do want to do something with the scarcity of HP on CB; thus we are checking and looking into all possible variants, to satisfy all players. Endless HP for CB is one of them. And it is very likely that we will implement that. First, though, we will bring the changes that we have already announced in the CB area and get to resolving the HP question a little bit later. 


Suggestion 3: Give something for utilizing duplicates.


Game Dev Response: We have planned an amazing feature that will turn duplicates into benefits instead of disappointment.


Suggestion 4: A warning when Inbox is full.


Game Dev Response: There are several options for how we can deal with this one. We’ll think those through.


Suggestion 5: Show champs from the Vault in the Fusion tab .


Game Dev Response: This will be added in the nearest updates.


Suggestion 6: Rewards in Gold 4 Tier .


Game Dev Response: We’ve discussed this question multiple times and still haven’t made the final decision. We thought about creating brackets in Gold Tier (like Platinum Tier with 300 places in it) to improve the rewards for Gold 4, but we’re not sure if such a feature can please most of the player base. Thus, the question about the Rewards in Gold 4 Tier is still open and we will keep thinking about what we can do here.


Suggestion 7: Sell Accessories right after a battle .

Game Dev Response: Yes, that is something we are planning to do very soon!


Suggestion 8: Random fusion: fuse three champions of the same rank to get one of the same rank ("badluck" counter) .

Game Dev Response: We know that it is practised in some other games of this genre and we’ll think about possible variants, however, this is not on the list of priorities right now.


Suggestion 9: Remove Rare Books from Nightmare and UNM Chests .


Game Dev Response: Yes, we will remove them from the last Chests on Nightmare and Ultra-Nightmare CB. However, we would like to inform you, that according to our plan, the value of our Rare Champions and Rare Tomes for them, will be noticeably increased in the future.


Suggestion 10: Allow players to choose the priority of Skills usage in auto-battles (alternative - fix existing AI problems).

Game Dev Response: Pre-setting of Skills usage in auto-battles is something that is being in the process of creating, however, it won't be introduced in the nearest future.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Septimus’s A2 on auto will be fixed right after Release 1.13. We are also preparing other AI fixes for the closes releases.


Suggestion 11: Clan currency, Clan Shop (based on the Clan position in the global Rating).

 

Game Dev Response: We do have a lot of plans (similar to this suggestion) on developing the Clan area, and we are working on them.


Suggestion 12: 2 Artifacts pre-sets.


Game Dev Response: We have some high-priority Artifacts-related tasks on the table (you may have seen some spoilers in our Official Discord), so we’re not sure about this one for now. But we’ll keep this idea in mind.


Suggestion 13: Notification that the limit of turns in a battle has been reached. 

Game Dev Response: We’re going to add the counter for the number of CB’s turns and the dealt damage in release 1.14.


Suggestion 14: Expand the main Champions storage. 

Game Dev Response: We'll try to make it happen.


Suggestion 15: Add a copy to clipboard feature when messaging in the in-game chat .

Game Dev Response: While there is an evident advantage to it, still, there are some players that can use it to spread harmful links and we wouldn't want it to happen, so it’s not something that we will consider for implementation.


Suggestion 16: More free auto-battles (similar to the event that we had once) .

Game Dev Response: We will double the number of battles in the Multi-battle mode in Campaign, both free and in subscriptions in release 1.13.


Suggestion 17: Search a champion by name in Index .


Game Dev Response: Thanks for the suggestion, we’ll think about it.


Suggestion 18: Friends List, direct messages .

Game Dev Response: The “Friends” feature is in the planning stages right now, so it’s a bit too early to talk about details. We want to make certain the in-game Friends feature has a meaning, and as such, we will look into ways of providing that meaning. But this is definitely one of the features that we plan to add in the future.


Suggestion 19: Push notification for a CB leader (and deputies) when someone joins or leaves .

Game Dev Response: We’ll try to make it happen, but not in the nearest future. We still haven't decided yet how it can be introduced.


Suggestion 20: Add more Deputies in Clans.

Game Dev Response: We will undoubtedly make it happen!


Suggestion 21: Add Mystery Shards to Nightmare Campaign .


Game Dev Response: No problem, we’ll add them:)


Suggestion 22: New Auras with debuffs (decrease def for arena only, all other for all locations- debuff res, acc, spd, hp, atk) .


Game Dev Response: Hm, that’s quite an interesting idea, we’ll think about it. Thanks!


Suggestion 23: Activate the Inbox resources that are about to expire automatically .

Game Dev Response: We’ll think about it.


Suggestion 24: A Mino tournament (event) .

Game Dev Response: It’s in our plans, but can’t say yet if we will be able to launch it any time soon.


Suggestion 25: Convert Champions into Chickens .

Game Dev Response: Every Champion has a unique Personality! We would not want to hurt their feelings and to convert them into “food”. We don't think it'll happen, especially if we expand the main Champions storage.


Suggestion 26: Review Raid Pass (subscription) privileges .

Game Dev Response: There are some improvements in Raid Pass in Release 1.13.


Suggestion 27: Label champs somehow to be able to distinguish duplicates .

Game Dev Response: Thanks for the suggestion, we’ll think about it.


Suggestion 28: Champions which are fully skilled should have a visual cue in their icon, for example, a green "s" on the top right. 

Game Dev Response: It sounds very interesting, but we won’t do it due to our future plans. We’re planning to add one more way to improve our Champions (it has nothing to do with the Ascending, Masteries and Skill Tomes), so this way of the visual cue will be illiquid.


Suggestion 29: Review Market .

Game Dev Response: Yes, we are already considering possible variants of improving the Market by adding more resources and ways to utilize them there.


Suggestion 30: Add the feature to compose and sort groups for Arena, Dungeons, CB, FW .

Game Dev Response: This is one of the features we plan to add in the future, of course.


Suggestion 31: Make it possible to buy offers for gifting them to other players .

Game Dev Response: Sounds interesting, we'll keep this idea for further consideration.


Suggestion 32: Add five more Stages to the Minotaur Dungeon and Potion Keeps .

Game Dev Response: That’s not in our plans. Especially, since we’re going to increase the minimum amount of small potions on Stage 15, we don’t see an urgent need in creating higher Stages.


Suggestion 33: Morale damage when "good" and "bad" factions are banded together. For example, a Dark Elf champion and a High Elf champion in the same team result in -10% speed (or HP, damage, etc.).  

Game Dev Response: That is something we need to think about. Thanks!


Suggestion 34: A "hatred" system: for example, Elhain and Berserker are mortal enemies, and thus will deal 150% damage to each other. 

Game Dev Response: This one also sounds really cool! We will not let it go unnoticed.

Re: Suggestion 21, what are “Mystic” shards? Do you mean “mystery” shards? Who in the right mind will suggest adding mystery shards as a prize in Nightmare campaign? I swear some of these suggestions I feel you’re just making them up.

This absolutely needs to happen. During the Lyssandra tournament I almost ran out of Mystery Shards. Had to constantly alternate between farming Nightmare and farming Brutal. Right now if we can farm Nightmare, there's no reason to farm Brutal, other than the shards.

If you farm nightmare campaign only you will run out of common and uncommon champions to level. I and other players who want to farm only nightmare have to do runs in brutal so that we get those green shards and get food. We requested this change.

Still no plan for artifact re-balancing artifact ? some artifact sets likes curing, destroy, avenging is useless.

this is another "calm the players asap" thing like the first one. In the first 1 we didnt see any of the major suggestion that they said they will release,happen, and quess what 90% of this one is "definetly will be in the future updates", that means never, they just want to keep our attention elsewhere to buy  time, clasic plarium.

Why would you need to farm for mystery shards to begin with ... especially in campaign when they drop in dungeons and in keeps. I mean Ancient shards dropping in nightmare I get but if you're farming nightmare then you're not early to mid game and you more than likely have a few thousand mystery shards saved up already to pull for your daily quests .... mystery shards are crap for nightmare campaign

That is so stupid when champs drop in both nightmare and brutal all the time .... ya'll should have a damn stockpile by now of stupid green shards just like everyone else

Where the [email protected]&# are clan wars????


How do you miss such a HUGE aspect of this genre for so long????

You missed a huge opportunity with faction wars, you could have incorporated Clan Wars with each clan member representing a faction against another clan!!!!

No only would this give so many useless champions meaning, but it would drive activity in all other areas!

Why in the world would you add MORE lesser potions to level 15 keeps when absolutely NOBODY wants to be farming level 15 for more energy and longer times just to get LESSER potions!!!!! This is the stupidest thing ever!!!! You need to completely eliminate lesser potions from levels 12-15 because the majority of people can go farm level 1 7 times in the amount of time they run through level 15 and get the exact same outcome!!!! You don't actually listen to your player base because this has been suggested way more times than giving us more lesser potions!!! Get your shit straight and fix things the right way not the stupid way!!!!

Challenge a friend, to practice and test certaint type of champions against my friend's team. I think it would be a nice addition to the game. My friend and I both play this game and talk about it all the time, being able to add friends and battle against them would be very nice!

Why add mystery shards!? Add ancient! For the love of god, if we have progressed to this point in the game where we need shards for food a three star food is way better then a 2 or 1! You can make the drop rates lower if you want, but that is a greedy addition by plarium! I'm sure everyone that plays the game will agree to that!

Some suggestions really need to be reconsidered. The decisions made for them ain't the best & not gonna do any good rather may harm us players more.

1. Suggestion #1 : Increasing small potion count to 7 on stage 15 (highest stage) ain't gonna solve the problem. Majority of times each stage only grants small potions & it's extremely depressing & cruel.

A better approach will be to fix a minimum & maximum drop range for all 3 potions on all stages (similar to scrolls on Minotaur's Labrinth). The count too of course should be very much same.

2. Suggestion #2 : Not sure how endless HP is gonna solve the reward problem. It would instead snatch the chance to get double rewards on killing CB. 

I believe it should only apply to a player who is attacking an alive CB (which is already very low on health) so that the person will get reward based on damage dealt by him but CB will also die (since damage done by player exceeds total HP left on CB before attack). This will grant double rewards & also solve the issue.

The live real time damage counter was really nice approach you guys displayed on discord.

3. Suggestion #8 : Merging 3 champs of same rarity should not give a champ of same rarity but a champ of the next Highway rarity. If required, you may increase this count to 5 or 10 champs instead. Alternatively, fusing these champs can also grant 1x higher rarity tome or 30-50 gems etc. 

If this rule is applied, applying it to all rarity champs would be nice.

4. Suggestion #19 : Push notifications might be difficult to implement, but a simple clan chat message should be feasible enough. When someone leaves/gets kicked or joins a clan, it should at least display a message in clan chat with red & green colour respectively. It helps better manage the clan & prevent unwanted kicking by deputy (if at all possible).

5. Balance faction crypts that are yet to be balanced. Note : The problem lies in the default ability (A1) of crypt boss, in whichever faction they are not balanced yet. Their A1 one shots the champs even at 60s.

6. Sorting option in Vault.

7. Use champs in Tavern directly from Vault.

8. Provide clan perks/ bonuses based on total duration of stay in clan & clan's total achievements earned so far. There is already a clan bonus tab available in game for champions. It just needs to start providing its worth sooner or later.


Now lastly, an optional yet desired feature:

Bonus : A way in which players who have long crossed the 90 days period & are Level 55+ could get some cool reward. With this high player level, the tournaments too become extremely difficult & none but those that spend a lot (or have lots of stored resources) are able to rank high & win something.

Many copy heros in the game if all heros are unique i think in some ways very very better and heros none of them have a story of they life and some thing like that

Clan currency is a great idea but the amount of currency you get should be based on each player's performance and not the clan as a whole or else players will start clan hopping and try to join clans with high ranking to get the highest rewards. This is a big problem that happened in SWGOH and creates a very bad experience for players and clans and eventually people quit the game especially when meta champions, artifacts, etc. are only attainable through clan currency.

Multiple suggestions 


1. Add a default chat. So we can log in and be in the chat room we want to be in. 


2. On/off for chat censoring 


3. Arena with friends 


4. Unlock the thumbnails for your avatar for each new champ you summon.


5. Buff banner lords... they all need it

Well instead of thinking about all the ideas, why don't ur devs just develop them ideas, after all thats their job, its our job to tell them what to do not theirs, all they have to do is implement our ideas that we THE COMMUNITY WANT TO HAVE IN-GAME!

Even the last time u posted ur dialog with ur defs u told us what they think of our ideas, most of the replies from game devs were we''l think about it or yeah we will do it, and like 90% of them werent even mentioned ever since, so just implement these ideas PLEASE instead of saying well think about it!

Learn marketing BS. "We will think about it" is PR way of saying "forget about it - we do not want to deal with rage so we cannot say plain NO here"
