There is an option, just buy the requisite number of tokens in the shop. It's around 99 dollars for all 15 or so. If you only want to pay 10 dollars for eclipse then wait 6 weeks or so.

these playoff events since they were added have been a sad joke. only ones really getting anything are the super strong players(whales) or those with insane amounts of resources. just look at the ones always getting the top 3. zero  fair chance for anyone one with weaker set ups and low resources to ever have a chance with out years of playing to ever get top 3. literally p2w whale events

You have to save your resources and be strategic about which events you pursue and when you get on the leaderboard. With this event for instance, you can use A-Coins that you've saved to your inbox. That happens when you don't claim A-Coins from events (mainly Specialization Sprees). But you have to be careful with that, as inbox rewards expire after 60 days. Also, events that have "Get A-Coin" tasks are pretty rare. Better yet are crate events (you can also save Amateur Crates from events into your inbox), blueprint events, spend A-Coin or spend Credit events. If you save up each of these long enough, you can take top three if you time it right. This is how plenty of non-p2w whales do it. Use the events you aren't pursuing seriously to get a sense of when to get on the leaderboard, so you avoid the really competitive players.

According to the QnA, all the Mechs and Weapons will be available to acquire after the release of the New Progress System. Besides, "Recently released Content within the Market will require an In-App Purchase, until it is made available for in-game Resources at a later date".

For now, keep an eye on the current Offers, the desired Content may appear there! 😉
