I saw the time change and the length of my current shield extend before I closed the app ... I know that sometimes lag can happen but I always makes sure that what I have clicked has happened before I actually shut downOk that is good ... I will be interested to hear what happens with this.

Thank you for investigating and responding to me so that I know what has happened ... this shows that there must have been lag between me applying the shield and the communication with the server so the next time I will apply my shield, log off, then reload the game just to make sure that the server has the information that it should have.
More than likely it was not applied in the first place because your initial click didn't register and this time you probably didn't check (thinking that you did though). So most important thing is to make sure you do check ... you can log out and log back in but I never have heard of a shield that actually was applied disappearing after one logged out. Like I said I have had multiple times when the shield was not actually applied with my first click of applying a shield, just like happens with time boosts and other things. And for plarium's information it isn't just lag ... you can wait a long time and it won't happen, sometimes yes there is lag and then it happens but also sometimes you wait and wait and the click never registers.Erna Fiery said:

While I am disappointed I have lost my troops I am happy with the customer service that I have received here.
