I'm no programmer, but from experience, all programs will continuously consume more RAM while it is active (Assuming there is RAM available), just for "quick storage", though it clearly varies from program to program.

If it doesn't interfere with other programs, I wouldn't find it troublesome at all, but if it does affect other programs, just end the Plugin process and reload the game.

The main reason the game takes up so much memory, is because it uses very high definition graphics.  You could play TD on a 60 inch screen and it would look great.  Of course this is overkill for people who are on a 15 or 17 inch laptop screen.  I'm not sure why plarium doesn't offer a low definition mode, it's been suggested before but the idea was never pursued. 

Most modern computers have at least 4gb of ram though, so it's usually not a major problem.

Usually when clearing Browser Cache is suggested, it's for files stored in the Browser itself which could interfere with new files; Programs do have their own cache, but this is usually deleted when the program is exited.

How can you know? You said you're not a programmer.

Cache stores data locally for reuse purposes, this supposed to speed up loading time and performance, but cache slows down instead and is a source of most problems.

Load time is always approximately the same and 'reuse' not happening at all. Example: when you click to buy a unit, its picture is re-drawn instead of being just static, along with all other 7 units diplayed in a building tab. Are those pictures re-drawn fro cache or from server?
