Why don't you just turn meter control him with 2x Alure (A1 set for AI), Armiger and someone like MM for shield.  Just make sure MM is the fastest.  Also someone should have destroy gear on.  The 5th could be Coldheart for more turn meter control and damage, or simply another DPS built champ

Is Vergis in destroy gear?

No  he  is  in  regen  and  immortal  

Mines in destroy set and time is pretty good, his mechanics should keep him alive with his continous heal etc

Hate to break in but it'll be real quick.  My situation is very similar (my Vergis is in destroy) but I have a dup.  I'm thinking building a second Vergis pretty much just like the first would not only speed up my run (it's not unbearable) but help me survive at the higher rooms?  Any thoughts on this?

destroy gear is mandatory.  At least for 100 hard.  Were u able to beat 30 without it?

One well built vergis will be better than two average.   I would not build a 2nd.

Thanks, I ran 50 today and took about 22 minutes; 11 on the mobs and 11 or so on the scarab.
