Thanks for posting. Dare I say looks reasonably 'friendly'  - overlap of two dungeons for first divers (usually a bit of a drag), champion chase returns. Able to avoid some of the 5 pointers too. Depends on the requirements of course.

Hmm, I count 115 pieces up for grabs (excluding bonus leaderboard ranking fragments). However, I doubt I'll have enough shards to do the Summon Rush, which is 20 pieces. 

Looks like I might have a problem completing this fusion.

I have 1,000 mystery and 20 ancients. I was planning on using those for the Champion Chase beginning tomorrow.

Presuming I can complete all events other than the Summon Rush I'd have 95 fragments. What is the likelihood of buying the remaining 5 fragments, and how much do they usually cost?

Do you save any gems? You can get 11 Ancients for 900 gems at the gem store. 

Seriously, I think you are in deep trouble for this....the shards you have...you need extreme luck to even get the champion chase. I hope you that you have some champions ready to be pulled....

I can't recall exactly what is needed for champion chase but I'd  be very surprised if you can do it with that number of shards to be honest -  especially if you don't have any other fragment champs to summon. You might get some luck in the x2 ancients but you'd need a lot of it! Edit - Matrim echoed my thoughts!

Regarding buying - IIRC it was about a buck USD per fragment, so five should cost you a fiver.

the champion chase tournament usually calls for 2500 points for all the fragments. as a few others have mentioned, getting that many points with your current shard count is extremely unlikely. fusing a broadmaw or relickeeper might be able to make up some of the difference, but otherwise i think you won't be able to complete this fusion without opening your wallet.

That sounds acceptable - I'll just play this fusion for fun with no pressure to complete it, then see if I'm able to buy any missing fragments after. :)

First glance at schedule, Plarium appears to have erred significantly in our favor :) Dare say, if I am lucky enough to get 1 weak/lucky tournament group I can do fusion with ZERO shards and skip summon rush entirely?

I think it looks easier than expected, as long as the summon rush is split 5/15

If it is just the one reward, and it is at a high mark and 20 points, well there will be a lot of annoyed people.

Yes, Ancients in about 11 hours and overlapping with the Champ Chase. 

Five was $20ish for the last couple legendaries. Less for the epics.

No error. The stated goal was to make a very strong yet accessible fusion to start the fusion year on a good note.
