battle mechanics

how does it  work? i mean, in a battle, what is the order in which units attack? how many rounds does a battle have? how is damage computed?

1 round based on stats. Actually the battle looks like a tavern brawl after a barrel of good Fire Ale!

can you detail please? the battle replay certainly shows more than one round. sometimes some attack units do return even if battle was lost

I am not sure how you are considering multiple rounds?

With what i have learned so far in different games.

Round is when your battle continues for several minutes & you get report after fixed time to see your stats.

You have a flee button so you can recall your troops.

In here no matter how many thousands troops you send or you send only 5. Battle is finished in few sec and there is no recall during fight.

take this example: i send a few hundred nords to raid a battleground. in the battle replay i see the risen dragons of the ice queen attacking first. then some of my units then some other units of the icequeen, then some of my units, then again those rise dragons, etc. (that's what i called a "round" - the same kind of units attacking again). after a while everyone gets bored and my surviving units return home.

so, which kind of units attack/defend when? which units do they damage first? (based on the attack stats, the risen dragons could easily wipe out in one go all my low level units, but they only kill so many in one go, of a particular type - which i fail to comprehend)? when do the units get bored of attacking and go home (hence what's the number of rounds in my definition)?

I am truly sorry for having to disappoint you, but battle replay is just a shiny cosmetics feature, with sole purpose in making the game visually attractive for new customers. Basically, they don’t represent valid representation of battle mechanics.

As for the mechanics themselves, you can find some basic information in FAQ section of the ingame Help Guide, but I strongly recommend practice and experiments for getting the more in depth understanding of how unit stats can be influential on battle outcomes.

thank you! that makes sense! was trying to understand the logic behind the animations and ... there is little logic there. if someone already figured out the influence of stats, pls, pls, pls, pretty pls :)

on the same topic, i get mixed results with the battle simulator at  nords playtamin com. they seem to somehow figured out at least parts of it.
