I don't know who imagined this rule, but giving 10% of your silver to the place of power every day is huge...

I'm not against the principle, but such a huge value is probably bad for the game.

The parade is pretty simple:

the clan chief creates an additional (low level) account and appoints him chief from Thursday morning to Wednesday evening,

and becomes chief again from Wednesday night to Thursday morning, in case he has to cash in the winning CVC bonus.

The chief should just not be where silver is banked ... for example when we saved up for the stronghold I as elder held the silver until we were ready to build ... now we have an account that just banks silver so my account doesn't have to have the silver.

Having to setup such parades somehow proves that the rule is wrong.

It doesn't work well for starting groups and make people abandon.

Pilou, being from the same country that me, you must know that tax evasion is our speciality bcs we are one of the most taxed country in the world.

Apply your real life experience with Belgium tax to this game and all will be perfect, nobody will have your silver

For many belgian people, the technique consists in (really) having none X'-(

 ;-)

Btw, my problem here is mostly, that it's my the second time I leave a clan because the (supposedly non belgian) chief abandons the game.

yep its a simple tax to avoid paying at all, just make sure chief dumps silver to someone else and when cheif needs it just send and use str8 away thus minimum silver sent as tax so easy to avoid paying

My point is not to know if there are ways to work around this rule, but if it is a good or a bad game design.

it is a bad design... as in real life, tax are never good...

Worse in the game since sometime you pay tax to a ennemy clan

This is ideology. Some other people would reply that taxes in real life, are the needed compensation for our flawed conception on private property.

I'm not talking about ideology, but about game design. I'm not criticizing the principle of the tax but it's outrageously high level in regards with other parameters of the game..

Very simple, if you want to avoid paying the tax you make a alt account that doesn't make much silver the chief and stay as an elder. Other option is to hit POP everynow and then to reset it.

If it's not reinforced no you don't, most times you can reset it with 1 troop. Scout it first to check but if you let a clan have it and they keep reinforcing it then you're not doing yourselves any favours

If the guy occupying it has 50 or 100 or more times your own influence, I doubt you can do it.
And about not doing yourself any favour, I wonder how are you going to prevent a clan from having it and keeping reinforcing it ?
