And if you don't have the knowledge for them with attacks, defense and other things, don't use higher tiers. Instead, visit the Shrine of Odin and send them away, they just eat all your food for nothing...
If I get troops as a present from Loki, they are gone not more than a minute later by Odin's shrine

The rule of thumb is troop total influence should only be 10 percent of knowledge if your are attacker. 20 Percent max influence if your are a defender or trap.
