I've exact the same problem still now so it can't be a problem with settings of the computer of the users. Please work on the problem instead of giving the problems back to your costumer

I'm having the same issue and not using FB

I appreciate that techical stuff can be difficult, and often its knowing how to explain.

Clearing the cache  is  something everyone should know how to do, and do regularly.

It's like getting rid of the garbage , rubbish , trash , whatever you like to call it , old stuff is  generally of no use and clogs up space, sooner or later you got to empty the container to reuse it.

You get rid of the old and the new should just  fully load, just like the first time you played the game.
