I would suppose that it stays in there, if no one takes a sip form it... :)
Otherwise, the relative "height" wouldn't change since the ice displaces its volume equivalent of water, so when it melts it occupies the same amount of space as it did when floating.

In distilled water the water level will decrease.
As structure of ice occupies more space then water of same amount that the ice is made up of due to air bubbles trapped inside it.

1. The water nearest the ice cubes will get colder
2. The water level will likely decrease, as usually air is trapped in ice cubes from the freezing process
3. My pet cyberdog will likely try and drink from the darn thing.
4. There will no longer be ice in the cup
5. I will drink it and become hydrated and healthy
6. The ice cubes will get smaller
7. The ice cubes will sink into the glass of water
8. The ice cube's outer temperature will raise
9. The ice cubes will melt from the outside in

doesnt matter, the incoming nuke strikes will evaporate anything not down in the bunkers...
