Human life didn't have value. Do you remember fires of the Inquisition? No one could be safe.

Do you remember Syria? Sudan? Islamic State Iraq [wa] Shams? Iran? Saudi Arabia (look up on google how nicely they burn with hot metal their "domestic maidservants")?

The homeless man 3 blocks from downtown New York dying (the one you didn't hear about)?

I'm sure you've heard of Harvey's coastal voyage all the time lately... Did you hear half (a tenth? a tenth of a percent?) as much about the floods in India&Nepal?

Plenty more fatalities there, I assure you that.

If you think human life has value everywhere today... you've got a huge bubble to burst.

oh... of course, our world full of cruelty. But I hope now we can do for peace-life more than a usual man in medieval..

The average man could assassinate a tyrant passing through the town's square and impact the entire kingdom's fate with a much greater ease than you can now convince your bank to give you a slightly preferred interest.

Now u can be yourself. If you were a peasant, u will die like a peasant. It was a slavery. If u didn't believe in God, u will die for your "unbelief". Sure, now there are too many conflicts. A poverty was and will be in the future. But u can see a civ world. I know, u will say, there a many slaves in our modern world. In fact, it's illegal. The world community is taking measures to crack down it. Dude, I understand u! But I think that we should value our life and savor our life. We have a choice. Choice to make our life! In the Middle Ages, there was no choice because there was no alternative.

Go visit Dubai. You won't last a month as a non-VIP, Non-famous-journalist non-Muslim (and you better be the 'right' kind of Muslim!).

But hey, they sponsor PSJ FC.

Ignoring the wide-spread phenomenon dubbed as "modern-day-slavery" (and I do view it as slavery) that is rapidly growing in the 'western world'.

When you have the funds, spare time and mental strength for it, take a tour around Asia. I won't say Africa, nor will I name specific countries in Asia (it's more popular than you'd think) you have legal slavery under what is usually translated to a term that moves around "domestic help/worker/maid/servant".

A "worker" with a salary that is equal to/lower than what he pays to merely continue his existence (not well being, no safeguards from abuse) is nothing but a workforce owned by his employer. Slavers would do just that.

I don't see why you think they didn't have an alternative, or at least that they had it less than the equivalent person nowadays has.

He is awesome actor. But in this case he is more romantic, not crazy maniac. And what about Leo Dicaprio?

Right! In fact Suicide Squad is a stupid movie. I think that it should be a romantic melodrama with Harley and Joker.
