A complete Rip Off

I am not purchasing any more packs on this game, it is near impossible to get any type of material you are going for. heroes crystals come in minimalism where they were once plentiful. Try getting that 32% shard , you buy an apostate package and you get vip, gold etc but your lucky to get that shard ! lazurite and other materials critical to getting gear always seems waiting for 1 more to get it to legendary.

So ok Plarium play the old con to make people keep buying but here is one player that is no longer buying into it and if you make it even harder to play the game without the aid of a purchase i'll just walk away from the game altogether. That means "You Lose".

Runes are even worse. (amt. recv'd per hit)

If you truly feel as you say - cut your loses now. Runes are far, far, worse.

yeah tell me about it, it really is annoying the amount of money you have to spend  just to get 1 part of your game set. you then have to move onto gems, materials etc. After all that you have  your castle levels, alchemy lab, Cardinals and then you have heroes crystals and a whole host of packages you would have to buy to survive in the game.It does not surprise me to hear that some player's could have bought a brand new car with the money they have spent in this this game, that is Ludicrous and really shows the scale of profiteering plarium are making on this game alone.

I don't expect Plarium is in any way unique in this. Many games are exactly the same. Seems they are by far not the worst in this.

Caveat emptor.

That may be true, they might not be the worst offenders but the point that they do so makes them complicit. They have not even defended their action, That tells me that they are quite happy to continue but I am also happy with not buying packages until they end this type of practice. I can walk away from the game and so can others. Plarium can adopt a stubborn approach but ultimately if enough walk away they suffer and believe me it is happening .

They won't, it's profitable or they wouldn't be doing it or continuing to do it.

... I can walk away from the game ...

Which will not materially affect their profitability, and so have no effect.

... and so can others. ... if enough walk away they suffer and believe me it is happening.

But not by enough to matter, or it would have happened already. They have continued to expand, so things are working for them, and they have no reason to change.

What 9 different games, 181 k's now in KaW, 40k towns per k makes something like 65 million customers. Even if 90% walk away ... that's still maintaining a sizable payroll and server farm(s).

Save your energy. Vote with your feet.

Not that you can't effect the change you'd like, with sufficient effort on what is, in the end, just a game, but I don't expect this Plarium KaW forum is anything but pouring your energy down a drain - vis a vis other social networking platforms.

It's working  people are leaving the novelty is wearing off. It's a big money pit of a game for sure. I took a look at the kingdoms and early Kingdoms were filling once a week, now its a month or more..

As far as player base that pays i would also suggest dividing that 40k players per kingdom by shared and alt accounts as well as than divide it further to those that are left and still paying. i would not be suprised if the actual amount of paying players is more likely in the hundreds of thousands across the board. With older Kingdoms paying players shifting to newer servers for more activity as well. Login numbers and town amounts are very misleading in a game structured around creating as many towns as you can hehe for a good example of a player base.

Best thing to do is move on and forget this style of  'game'.  Its more like a casino than a game of strategy anyways.

you can also get an idea on  the player base thru the Forum posts/views as well for another idea on how many play it, tens of thousands  maybe over the years...
