As far as the challenges, Mad Ted was told we willl fight this war on our terms, and our time. LOTBR doesnt get to dictate to us how we will fight or under what conditions.  That era is over.

Unfortunately these is not a wall of defense. Its a sorted defense, from 1 player plus a couple of trips. My guise is that the player was inactive at the time of the raid. 

And I think you should teach the player who sieged the castle some mechanism or sieges.
