Food Production dropped after upgrade of Farm to lvl 24?

Plarium,

This is my first post so bear with me and let me know what other information you would need. I just upgraded my first farm today 12/3/2017 to lvl 24, which I was excited about, however my food production (with Dragon activated) went from -880 pre-upgrade to -3,800 after the upgrade today. I am very confused and cannot figure out why my food production has been made worse after the upgrade? The lvl 24 text reads "Special Bonus -1% food consumption" however it looks like it had the opposite effect.

I am playing on The Dark Plains server as Siegalboy RK.

Confused,

Siegalboy

Hello, Lord!

Please note that Food production at your Castle depends on the size of your army. The more troops you are holding, the more Food they consume. If you have increased your units number recently, then your Food production has decreased appropriately.
There are no bugs which affect the Food consumption/production in the game. This feature should work correctly also for you.

I realize that fact, the statistics I showed above were from the exact same day. In fact I just killed off 2K troops and I am still using more food than before my upgrade completed.

Also, the consumption depends on the type of the troops. The stronger is the unit, the more Food it consumes.

Again, I realize all the nuances of food production and consumption as I have been playing over a year.I guess the only question I can ask to get closure on this issue is whether my account can be looked at specifically to make sure nothing 'odd' has occurred within my account during the time of this upgrade. Otherwise, there is no further need for response.
