3x=30

X=10

x + 2y=19

X=10

10- 19=-2y

y=9/2= 4.5

y+ 2z=1

4.5 -1= 2z

z=3.5/2= 1.75

[ x * (z-y)]=

[10*(1.75-4.5)]=[10*(-2.75)]=[-27.75]

absolute value of -27.5= 27.5

W+W+W=30 =3W

W=10

W+A+A=19 =10+2A

A=4.5

A-SS=1 =4.5-S^2

S=3.5^(1/2)~1.871

Abs(W*(S-A))=Abs(10*(1.871-4.5))=26.29

<26.29>

Oddly similar to Oracle's result, though we interpreted the double shield differently...

Also, a little brain teaser: Which shield is bigger, the one in front or the one in back?

No, I realized as soon as I hit enter that there was only one shield but I let someone else try first. I can't believe Oracle missed the last step. That is not like him.

I am not good at algebra. Although calculus and trigonometry are my strong field.

S*S=S^2, and not 2S.
