Do heroes affect our armys?

Hello all, just as the title says.




I was curious if the 3 heroes affected our armys stats at all?

The Hero legendary unit gains a bonus off stat when paired with infantry offence.


The Hero with the equipment adds a bonus % to your troops stats when hero items (gained from battlegrounds) are equipped

I thought there might of been some buff where melee gets stronger with the hero with sword and shield.


I recently switched to the druid hero and for some reason my units are doing terrible in battle grounds now.


Before when attacking them I would lose barely any units, and since hitting lvl 34 and doing lvl 16 battlegrounds, most of my units and some of the stronger and legendary ones get killed.


It seemed to started happening after I switched to the druid

Type of hero doesn't matter. Its the gear you equip them with and what bonus's they give, is what does matter.

Also please do not use legendaries or Eldrich units on battleground as they are not efficient to be used in the battlegrounds. The best units to use is normal units and the motive of Battleground is to convert low level troops to higher level troops.

As there is no penalty for negative food now there is absolutely no point in swapping small troops for higher level troops. 

Given there are just 3 elements of gameplay in Stormfall (Raiding / BG's / PvP) are you suggesting that one third of the game is utterly pointless?

Time for a re-think (not that we will ever get one from "don't care" Failarium).

Everyone has a right to an opinion. No one has a right to their opinion being respected by other if it can't be backed up with rational and logic explanation

Raiding gives you resources to upgrade lost art, buildings, make troops for BG and high level troops.

BG's motive i already explained.

PvP is for battling and killing others. This is still a war game, so you need a reason to kill or fight.


So i dont understand how "one third of the game is utterly pointless".


As for Infantry and Cavalry, they take comparatively less time to build that Beastiary. So making them and using in the BGs is more sensible along with training beastiary units. That means you grow faster. Obvious you dont raid with 5000 paladin more sensible to raid with 100 wyverns. Oh and with even Pathfinder the fastest infantry, you are still slower than Chimera and Wyverns.


And on battle point, Infantry and Cavs is best to use but with -200K food production, the moment you get the food it will vanish in no time.

If BG is broken for many and the only way to survive is to stay away from that third of the game then you only have 2 thirds left.

Hmm Pathfinders as fast as wyverns.. Maybe i need a new pair of Specs..




Did i forget to mention with the Wyvern Speed relics.. Oh i guess i did..

I need another one of those, but would not mind having one of the pathfinder strength ones, either.


Re: This game needing starvation, a clear yes. Other changes would be direly needed on top, but this is core.

They used to have something similar when you ran out of food. Troops needed upkeep, and if you ran out food units started to desert. But hey, as that was bad for business and didn't encourage players to BUY units... it was removed.

Could make more from more players and have an active game. Main reason for state of affairs is little money gets you nothing, much money is more than budget.

Of course you forgot to mention that, you wouldn't be you without doing that. they are both 24 mph base.


You may prefer speed, but for me those 2 center slots are best served on other things.
