Lord Oberon found an ancient treasure!

He carefully examined one of the coins and saw that it was dated 20 BC. That is when he realized they were fake! How did he know?

2,000 Sapphires will go to one of the Lords and Ladies to leave a comment and give the correct answer!

Says ' b.c.'

No reason to have that( b.c.) since that era had not been created or even thought of till later in history.

b. c. means before Christ. So there is no sense to be written that, because that is started to be used after Christ. Therefore they did not used b.c. in that period and that is how Lord Oberon has known that is fake coin.

a) Unless the creator of the coins was also a fortune teller they couldn't possibly know that it was 20 years before Christ.

b) Nowhere in any of the chronicles have I seen any mention of Christ. Does he even exist in this world? (Obviously not! He wouldn't let Beacon Massacres happen.)

The use of BC on any coin struck before the birth of Christ is a historical anachronism which Lord Oberon would have known. And if the coin is counterfeit, it is probably a base metal coated with gold.

because it is bc. they wouldn't know it is bc until after the current era arose

No point in having XX BC unless they could see into the future
