I said I would stop posting, and I would have, had I of not seen Alyona's lies and or lack of knowledge & hide behind the communities lack of knowledge in regards to networks/scripts/codes (please don't take this as hate guys) This is not a tutorial, this will not stay permanent, you can make it permanent however it is a pain in --- and I don't really care enough

I will show you how and why Alyona is wrong, how this could be resurrected within several minutes, most likely less because their web design guys actually know how their css/database works and I don't have the time to look into it nor am I a professional (This is in no way a security issue unless the databases are weak to SQL injections)

Before starting I will state that I don't have a fluid understanding of the scripting for databases, I focused my education more on networking/scripting/security over websites/data-basing

Now I posted an image yesterday showing how easy it was to make a log out button, it took me less then 5 minutes (granted it wasn't pretty, but it worked and was aligned) I deleted this comment and another I made because I frankly didn't have the time to tutorial everyone on how to do it themselves (Again, sorry :P

The top image is from a page in the news / announcements, if I can draw your attention to the "::before / ::after" portion of it, you will notice that they have straight up removed the ability to reply, however in game tutorials it is still there... Now you could copy/paste the text but I would assume the code before is linked to a script that runs in the background to stop posts, don't really care to test it.

Here is what the site looks like normally, notice no logout button and notice the highlighted line of text

I added after and notice the logout button appears? How long do you think it took, I will grant it isn't fancy but this isn't my job.

Here you can see my name logged in, I blanked my coordinates although I think half the forum knows them anyway, as well as the logout button (I opened in new tab to A- show you its a link which means it will redirect you off the game, and to not quit the game myself :P)  (the btn-lg was intended to be a button, but I decided half way to just use text and left it in)

And finally here is the me logged out (still logged in to the game because I used open link in a new tab)

The tool I used is accessed from Crtl + shift + i

The only reason they moved it would be due to their style sheets, but honestly it would be easier to change it and add another tag for the log out button, here is verification I am in fact logged out

Target="Mehnslayer" if I was logged in

It is one thing to run yourself into the ground... It is possible Alyona doesn't know anything about HTML and CSS.  took me like 2-3 minutes to make that because I had to find somewhere it would fit without completely messing up the whole user interface, the code itself took me 30 seconds;

JSP :

PHP :

Logout

session_start();

session_destroy();

header('Location: login.php');

exit;

ASP NET :

protected void LogoutButton_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)

{

    FormsAuthentication.SignOut();

    Response.Redirect("~/Login.aspx");

}

HTML :

          Log out

CSS :

(Needs prior mapping, which has been done)

Many corrections in game demand just a few developer mins.

Community managers, moderators, even administrators are accidentally given titles to people who do these jobs. Somewhere Plarium heard that it is right way. Some of titled persons tried to work their job correctly, and survived for long time, but some of them are absolutely didn't understand what their job is. As  many things in this game, this has bitter taste.

Trying to prove itself to someone in Plarium, titled persons made unacceptable actions, on very ugly way. No sorry, no understanding and no behavior corrections.

Obviously greed for money is out of questions, but everything else is very interesting (at least for me). For some reasons Plarium wants to keep us logged as much as we can endure. Slow troops and  feature building, massive lost in every aspect of game, annoying pop-up screen, need for many redundant clicks aren't mistakes in design. They are intentional in the game. I'm not sure that I know how Plarium gains benefit of our suffer but obviously it has some, maybe huge, benefits of that.

On the other side of coin, development process or didn't explained on right way or is terrible. I never heard anything about solution architect, the main role in every developing. I heard that administrators or just developers alone decide what they will develop in next period. That is something the worst that any developer house could imagine. If that is really true, then everything in this game is really accidentally.

I have no intention to understand whole picture of Plarium development (too much for something like post on forum, and too small quantity of information) but lack of communication between goal maker and implementers is more than obvious. We heard that Plarium development team is small, and I can add, incapable for this job.

All roads lead to one conclusion: Plarium wants to has only fresh, naive players who will spend huge amount of money, while experienced users are suufficient in the game and should to leave it.

At the end, we will be ignored and lied in the future, why not, and only what we can do is to unnerve Alyona, and vice versa. While she has salsary for that, I'm not sure what is my motive. Something is, still.

Dog barks, the caravan goes further.

Couldn't agree more, however I was just pointing out that smoke and mirrors exist. It also isn't aided by the fact they turned off all commenting for the news / announce, where they knew they were going to get the most criticism in regards to the updates.

They obviously know that their numbers are going down and are trying to damage control for any future players joining

This is beyond a joke now, the forum state is a mess starting about 3-4 weeks after I left (I'm relatively sure I wouldn't of made a difference), communication is at an all time low, we are now being fed lies and or the community managers are being lied to by their team.

Alyona can delete this all she wants, the fact of the matter is a lot of people have already seen this and you will know deep down Alyona that I am right here, and I have shown you and directed you how I am right,

There is 2 types of authority,

Fake and true... Fake hide behind their title "I'm your mum, I'm your boss", true authority is leading by example and showing the followers how and WHY they should do something. Respect is a 2 way street. "Don't run across the street because you could get hit by a car" vs "Don't run across the street because I'm your dad and I said so". Don't make excuses, Don't hide behind your title.

Notice how the moderators are never like "I deleted X because I am a moderator and you must respect me"

A- Delete this thread and forever know deep down inside yourself that you are a hypocrite

B- Ban me and free speech (yes I went there)

C- Admit that either you don't know HTML and just assumed something - your team fed you false information OR you intentionally put up smoke and mirrors to avoid the topic.

There should be game desingers and even "lead/senior game designers" in the dev team. And these should be the ones responsible for future and changes of the game. Although, I don't even know if Plarium have any such, at least not someone we the players can communciate and relate too.

Heck the norm is even have a roadmap over things you want to achieve. Teasers about changes coming down the road, to keep the players interested and invested in the future of the game. With Plarium its more like, here, have a dragon, here have a hero. "we are excited over give you more stuff to spend on".

I guess Im just very spoiled being a long term EVE player (over a decade), and the relations the players there got with the devs in one form or the other. They understand that the players is a great part of the TEAM to make it successfull, and that unhappy players is bad for business.

Greetings. I have moved this thread to Offtopic forum.

I see no lies in my comment. Our developers really had a reason to remove the log out button. And yes, technically it may be not so hard to move it back, but under the current circumstances we won't.

I appreciate your will to help players here on Forum with your knowledge, but please do it in a more respectful way. We have certain rules here, and by posting here you agree to respect all members of our Community, including Community Managers.

I will be forced to take necessary measures if we won't manage to turn our conversation into a positive one.

We do have experienced game designers, but you can't contact them directly. You can leave your feedback here, on Forum, where I can check it and pass further.

Why can't the the game designers address us the players in things such as dev blogs ? Speak about the game, the future and such ?

Just for the moment I'm ready to accept your answer, and bury past, but I'm curious what would be in the future if I can prove you that you didn't say truth. Will you delete that, banned me or you're ready to admit such mistake (I really hate to say anyone to lie)?

Without continuing debate about log out button, "had reason to remove the log out button" is so unbelievable, and uncompleted answer, that your whole answer became problematic and we reacted. Maybe you can't see that, if you have no professional developer, but some of us can. So, just as note (really trying to choose words, I'm a little tired of forum) your team pushed you into the fire, not we.

Maybe your CM job could be much easier if some of experienced designers (two years no one mentioned that Plarium has) will get public role on this forum (Gadheras suggestion). On old way CM job will eat you form day to day. I hope that you can understand this as really friendly advice / opinion.

Actually they're considering such idea, but it requires time and resources. If it will be implemented, it won't happen soon.

I understand your wish to contact our game designers or developers directly, but in Plarium everyone has a certain role and responsibilities. I'm here for you if you need me. You may ask your questions, pass your suggestions, and be confident that it will be passed further.

Our game designers currently have an idea to share our future plans with the Community, but the implementation will take some tome, and it won't happen soon. Also I'm not certain if it happens at all

I'm quite sure when you have people such as Ben Brode do video blogs about Hearthstone, the actual requried time and effort to do such a thing shouldn't be much tbh. I keep refer to things such as EVE, but so far this year they released 22 dev blogs, last year 93, and year before 146. And the users can comment in them and even get replies back.

The whole communication aspect of stay in touch with your user base, is something you would profit from tbh.

"re-add the logout button though. Just adding a link right?" - Gadheras

"I wish it was that simple." - Alyona

Additionally you mentioned there was several reasons for moving it, however they have not been elaborated on so for right now I will take the cynical route and assume this is just a ploy for more clicks for advertising and or analytic

"but under the current circumstance we won't" Why not? Again, what is the reason? I could make a script that overrides the source code for the game upon browser launch and add a log out button. And I really can't imagine it would take longer then 1 hour.

"I will be forced to take necessary measures if we won't manage to turn our conversation into a positive one." Again with the fake authority... Why. The threat was in no way necessary and if anything it just makes me think you are trying to avoid this situation I have put in front of you. That attitude is EXACTLY why I quit all it does is get under peoples skin and make them lose respect for you, which is exactly what you are trying desperately to regain... Right?

As for disrespecting you, maybe calling you out for lying was a bit harsh, but I also don't believe it is false. What happened Alyona 3 months ago, I respected her... Minus 1 comment which really shouldn't of ever been made, ever.

I can't tell you how to do your job, but I can tell you what is and isn't working, and although I don't have data, I know the game is going downhill in regards to players and activity, the DAU is caused by alts and the player activity is caused purely by the fact humans are naturally competitive. I noticed the minor updates such as applying paragon points and league quest rewards got added, but remember getting told for months and months they were almost impossible for the team to implement and that they have their own concept of what "immersive" is.

You have already lost a tonne of good mods, I'm not even sure I was that good but you lost a bunch and both this forum and the Facebook page are in disarray.

Maybe you should un-trash my post from the admin group I made when Serge was around and lets see how much attention that gets because I still think it was a really good post and had some deep insight that could help everyone, might give you some credibility because I remember the responses.

all updates (some beautiful) demonstrate no interest to gameplay but only for give a reason for paying

It is unfortunate that the only way I know how to locally save and script files of this nature is using bash, which is a linux based OS and I'm guessing a large portion of the community uses windows, and I'm not entirely sure how I would do it with batch, VBscript is disgusting and I refuse to use it. I would do it otherwise,
