Why is activating more expensive for a higher level castle,

A level 45 castle can get 30 day activation for Paragon for $2500, yesterday a level 90 had to pay $5500 today that jumped to $6500 for no reason, my castle has gained one level in the last 5 months and 30 day activation has steadily increased from $4500 to $6500 in that period of time, WHY???

I get the feeling that  you are trying to get all veterans and others on a limited income to quit the game.

You say coining keeps the lights on at Plarium but it shouldn't be used to keep the lights on in London, Paris, Berlin and Moscow as well. My income doesn't go up just because I have played the game longer.

Hello, birdyjerrie! I understand what you mean, but what you're talking about is a simple game balance. The higher your level is, the more difficult it is to reach something in the game. Cheers!

As Alina said, the cost of Paragon activators is dependent on the level of the paragon. The higher your Paragon level the higher the cost. Its adviseable to stock up on Paragon activators when you have your paragon at level 9.

As you see above, I have about 60 days worth of Paragon activators. I will continue to stock this unitl I have a sufficient amount. I also have many level 7 activators, which I buy through the Wheel of Fortune.

The ESTIMATED cost of paragon is as follows,

  • Level 4-7, 2000 Sapphires
  • Level 8-10 3500 Sapphires
  • Level 13, 5500 sapphires
  • Level 11,4500
  • Level 14-15 6500

The cost is based on the level of paragon you have unlocked, not your castle level.  The higher level paragon gives more bonuses so it makes sense it's a bit more expensive.

Still the same thing, a player is penalized for advancing in the game and as far as buying a bunch of activation , it has been less than a year that you have been able to buy more than 1 30 day activation at a time. Like I said and many others have said, Plarium does its best to discourage limited income players

I am not sure it does make sense.

Paragon gives all players the same benefit. A 7 day paragon activates paragon for 7 days. Everyone is buying the same thing.

The bonuses you get from having paragon active differ by player depending on their progress through the game. With paragon coming largely from raids and BG's is a very close approximation to the time and effort you have put in the game.

Surely it can't make sense the more time and effort you put in, the greater your progress, the more you are penalised? If progressing doesn't confer benefits why progress? That isn't a great receipe for motivating people to engage with your content (and play the game).

It seems quite perverse to me to make people pay more for the benefits they earned through their own blood, sweat and tears.

And I have never bought paragon in my life (I live of the free drops and activate only when desperately needed). So this doesn't impact me at all. I post only because it seems the opposite of being sensible and logical.

I like having the 20% Paragon Discount going for 24 hrs.

However, I could not buy a 2-day, 7-day, or 30-day activator while my Paragon is active.

I have to wait until my Paragon is inactive to be able to purchase a 2-day, 7-day, or 30-day.

What is the point of offering the discount if you can not make the purchase ?

** This offer should be able to be purchased during the 20% off. **

If you are in a good league, where dozens of players spend 5000$ a month, then you will not have to worry about Paragon Activators because you will get them from league tournaments, brawls, and chests.

But if you are from a small league, then you need to buy them.

I think the price will just continue to go up...  so I buy them so I can stock up...

Just think if I could have bought 30 of them when they were only 3000 (2400 with a 20% discount on)

I would be really thankful I did that, now that they are costing me 7000 (5600 with the 20% discount)

But I didn't, because back then you couldn't buy but ( 1 ) at a time

I advise all of our leagues, new lower level members, to buy as many as they can each time the discount comes up so they don't run into the cost factor that I am into now.

Yeah it does bother me that you can't buy them if you already have one active, would like to stock up during the discount.
