Beacons Force Limit. Help us to decide!

Hello, Lords and Ladies!

Last time we were observing more and more suggestions from players to implement the force limit for Beacon single attacks. Our Dev Team is currently considering this idea but before the implementing of limits, we would like to hear thoughts from all our community. So there are a few options for you to choose.

1. No need to implement the limit;

2. Limit 100k Force per 1 attack;

3. Limit 150k Force per 1 attack;

4. Limit 200k Force per 1 attack;

5. Limit 250k Force per 1 attack;

6. Limit 300k Force per 1 attack;

7. Limit 500k Force per 1 attack.

EDIT:  Some important info (from Biohazard)

Here are the amounts of offense power you can fit into a single attack for various force limits (with max boosts and a 30% beacon offense champion). 

100k force limit:

-regular dragons: 235 mil

-darkened dragons:  330 mil

-eldrich troops (split of eldrich dragons and eldrich necros): 423 mil

-gargoyles: 728 mil



300k force limit:

-regular dragons: 705 mil

-darkened dragons:  990 mil

-eldrich troops: 1269 mil

-gargoyles: 2184 mil


500k force limit:

-regular dragons: 1175 mil

-darkened dragons:  1650 mil

-eldrich troops: 2115 mil

-gargoyles: 3640 mil

I would vote for different force limits for different levels of beacon

I assume your suggestions would be for level 5 beacons?

Lower level Fortresses are given better protection, so why not Beacons too?

agree with this if the force limit is lower on level  1, 2, & 3 beacons it will provide time for the league to get defense there if they intend to keep a beacon ... it never used to be too much of an issue but now that we have to defend our forts we cannot just recall large amounts of defense from our fort to defend a beacon 


fortresses were the reason the beacon game died in the first place this should have been considered when forts were put into the game perhaps then more players would have stuck it out and there would have been more activity for both forts and beacons - it got to the point where you made a choice of one or the other unless you were in a massively coining league


i am thinking this may be a little too late coming .....

I agree with both previous posts. Maybe exclude level 1 beacons having a force limit, then start at level 2 beacon and have different force limits ending at 250K at a level 5 beacon.

but do you actually mean 100k Offense, or do you mean 100k Food Consumption

Most players would agree that the old food limit has long been obsolete, but changes to this can wait until next year

First we have to define terms:

Force Limit shown on the lower right when attacking a fortress, or Offensive strength shown on the lower Left. The design team's lead posting is not clear as it refers to both Force Limit and an Offense strength amount.  For consistency sake, I assume all figures they posted represent Force Limits as also applied to fortress attacks.

I assume the goal is to allow leagues to preserve fortresses while also restoring the old Level 5 beacon map that existed before the current Level 1 beacon wasteland was created by 3-castle hammer crews. So the question becomes, having been in leagues ranking from the top 100, top 50 and top 10, what would allow leagues to realistically defend their fortress and one or more level 5 beacons?

A top 10 league could defend a level 20 fortress and 5 level 5 beacons if the force limit was set at 100K per attack at a level 5 beacon

Thus lower level beacons would be set at 80 / 60 / 40 / (no limit) Force Limits for Level 4 / 3/ /2 / 1 beacons. (We need unrestricted fighting at level 1 beacons for various game reasons)

This same standard would likely allow a top 50 league to defend a level 12 fortress and one level 5 beacon.

A top 100 league might be able to have a level 8 fortress and struggle to defend one level 5 beacon.

I recommend not approaching the issue as that of setting an attack force limit, but imagining a goal, and then finding the attack force limit that makes that goal or image of a future territorial map possible. Including the number and size of the leagues we want to be able to participate in having some territory / beacons on the map.


When I think about how much defense various leagues will be willing to pull out of their fortresses to invest in beacon defense, and the 3-castle hammers that are still out there, a 100K Force Limit as defined in fortress attacks seems like it would produce the results we are looking for.

So, Option 2, 100K Force Limit for Level 5 Beacons

Plus an 80K Force Limit for Level 4 Beacons

A 60K Force Limit for Level 3 Beacons

A 40K Force Limit for Level 2 Beacons

No limit on Level 1 Beacons, or some other solution to prevent the top leagues from capturing all of the Level 1 beacons. This also allows the use of Level 1 beacons for League Achievement points involving killing units at beacons and fighting over newly created Level 1 beacons.

I agree with most of the comments. I would opt for attack limits based on the levels of the beacons (20/50/100/150/250 calculating the percentage of defense increased to 25% for beacons liv.5). but I do not impose a territory limit. the extent of the territory is directly proportional to how much territory an alloy can defend or monitor.

The question is:

I agree with a limit for the max numbers of Beacons a league can hold. 20 per league of whatever level, any more than this is just being greedy, As for a force limit on attacks not really, the big leagues will just stack them so every attack is destroyed. As an odd coincidence I notice the league leaders of the biggest leagues on here saying what a splendid idea it is..

Why not make it fun. To upgrade a beacon you need to downgrade one like with the fortresses. 1 level 5 beacon downgraded means you can hold 1 level 5 beacon. Then add the force limit for attacks number 6 of the above seems fair, otherwise trying to hold both the fortress and the beacon would become allmost impossible.

Not everyone that liked agreed with 100K limit some liked the other part of the post and  but if people want to vote for it here they have that option  My vote Is number 7 500K plus those people would be able to vote again and double their count

500k Force Limit is the SAME as a Level 20 Fortress

This is MUCH too high for any Beacon
