Note that timer drops to 7 hours and 59 minutes when deployed, as it is less than 8 hours and will show 7 hours instead.

Hi, now support team answers all questions about possible bugs here, on the forum. 

Regarding the Weor's shield, it lasts for 8 hours, unless you make an Offensive action towards another player (like siege, raid or any other attack). In such case, the protection is cancelled.
