What other companies besides banks, could betray their customers over and over again and stay in business?

http://www.jpost.com/Business-and-Innovation/Aristocrat-buys-Israeli-social-gaming-company-Plarium-for-500-million-502053

Aristocrat Leisure will pay 500 million dollars with the present management staying on.

"Any" new company that spends "that" kind of money will make changes and seek a return.

Will be very interesting to see what they do with this platform.

The only "balance" Aristocrat will be concerned with is the accounting books after the first 3 years of ownership.

Current owners and management will stay on and defer payment till 2020.

Maybe I can get VIP status by then  and buy 10K of Agemas..LMAO:))

Use diplomacy and make those big players as your friends not enemies , at least that is how I personally do.
On example I'm in def. coal high ranked on s1 and on s3 I'm in best off. coal(Facebook server) with the biggest hitters in game and they play on all servers so friend on s3 makes him friend on s1 too so

I agree that some players have massive army and that's why there are more Archons who don't like events like Pantheon Massacre.

You mean kiss their butts and grovel for them?
No..I mean be friend with them, but I guess you are killer and don't know what means to have friends huh

Look there is a 75% revival and no special drachma package offers, just the original ones.  But once the 75% revival ends, there will be 5-7 offers available.  That's the kind of company you buy into. Backwards

You know that we have regular Bank Offers and Special Offers with bonuses.

Special Offers appear according to a set algorithm which is constantly evolving. Several departments work on the development of that algorithm and they rely on analytics data, marketing research and other information they receive through their research channels.

Unfortunately, it’s not a part of the game our players can affect directly or pass suggestions about some changes to it. If you don’t like your current Offers or find them expensive, you can wait for better ones, and they will appear sooner or later.

Now the Mods are coming up with ridiculous BS to deflect from the reality that Plarium helped a COA defeat another COA by REVIVING ALL OF THEIR DEAD TROOPS FOR FREE *DURING* THE PAN MASSACRE.   So *WHO* in Plarium should I be trying to be *FRIENDS* with right now?

Hi, Jim! We don't revive any Units for free unless they were lost as the result of the bug. Players can revive their Units for Drachmas DURING the Massacre event.

to step out of my moderator shoes for a moment I can categorically say this

I dont spend huge amounts of money on the game in fact I only buy the really cheap deals occasionally however due to the fact I am in a great coalition, whose Hegemon is a real strategist I have seen massive growth since joining them, he works out exactly how much each member has to score in each and every tournament to gain the most cost efficient benefits, our coalition is extremely active, we all work together as a tight knit unit and it works

I recently had a player baiting me that I know even I would struggle to beat so a couple of us worked as a team and he lost EVERYTHING, all his off, all his def and has spent the last 10 days under a protection bubble hiding

you can be extremely successful in this game without spending vast amounts of money and actually, working as above is hugely entertaining as well
Yes. you do not need to spend money for drachmas, since being a moderator you get plenty of free drachmas...Dont try to say it isnt much ..I known other mods and how much drachmas they got from plarium for being mods. So please stop pretending there is any strategy without using drachmas...If you stepped out of your mod shoes you wouldnt be getting free dracmas like you do!!!

Diplomacy is only possible when both sides have something to win and their strenght are balanced, but when one side is too powerfull is not called diplomacy is called SERVILITY (and always was). Sparta is now so unbalanced that only a few coas own the game and the rest are just lambs wasting their money

1: The rich will always rule the poor. It works like that in Sparta, in the ancient and in the modern world.

2: In the ancient world, the poor get killed for complaining or trying to rise up against the rich. At least in Sparta, the poor can complain AND hide. So the rich might as well complain that the acropolis is unbalanced.

3: Fortunately in Sparta, only the rich can kill the rich, if the poor is smart.

When you look at the subject of this post ("He who has the most money wins"), you can't really argue that it is a statement that is generally universally, true. So how to approach the game then, well maybe it helps to view it more as a "real life" type of game (in a sense) and make peace with the fact that wealth is power and play your role within that type of world, or, go play a different game.

A quote I like from Darwin: "He who survives is not necessarily the strongest, or the most intelligent, but he who is most adaptable to circumstances and change."

Sparta used to be an excellent well balanced strategy war game.  Plarium in their greed, have since turned it into nothing more than a money pit.

Thanks to Plarium, there is a fake COA in the top 10 positions.  Because it exists, Plarium has broken faith with the majority of  its clients.

The new business model seems to want us to spend TONS MORE MONEY in an attempt to BEAT PLARIUM AT THEIR OWN GAME.   Well, that will never happen.

They are like the Las Vegas casinos where you will never beat the house.  You will just keep pouring money into them in a futile attempt to accomplish something.

The shift in power in this game has been noticeable for some time now.  Mega players are all converging to one or two coalitions and VIP agents are doing favors and deals outside of in-game package deals.

I am still perplexed by the lack of VIP cities for these so-called mega player's. 10's of thousands of agema an phalanx, no champion units and no VIP city schemas.

You can't be serious.  The fake COA is Plarium's  new income stimulus package.  Players have most certainly upped their monthly spending allowances in Sparta because of the miraculous rise of this "COA" in the top 10.  And it is a sucker's bet to think that they can actually spend enough money to protect themselves from it.   The Winner = Plarium

The fact that this Coalition is in TOP and attacking others doesn't mean it's fake. So please stop false accusations on forum.

actually the amount of hours I spend here I probably lose more in the way of Drac missing out on galley tricks, raid ranking, PvP ranking etc than I get given by Plarium, you guys seem to think we get 10's of thousands of dracs, we dont!
