WE THE NON COINERS

THIS GAME IS GETTING HARDER AND HARDER FOR A NON COINERS.

PLARIUM KEEPS BRINGING NEW UPDATES EVERY NOW AND THEN AND WITH EACH UPDATE THE GAP BETWEEN COINERS AND NON COINERS IS INCREASING.

I KNOW THAT COINERS ARE IMPORTANT PART OF THE GAME BUT WHAT I WANT TO SAY IS THERE ARE PEOPLE THAT LIKE PLAYING THIS GAME BUT ARE BEING BULLIED AND FORCED TO QUIT THE GAME.

I AM NOT SAYING TO PUT THOSE WHO CAN SPEND IN ANY DISADVANTAGE, JUST GIVE US AT LEAST ONE PLATFORM OR UPDATE WHERE ONLY THING THAT MATTERS WILL BE STRATEGY AND NOT MONEY SO THAT WE CAN ALSO KEEP UP WITH THEM.

THANX

The only difference between a coiner and a non coiner is that coiners, do things faster. A non coiner can get to that level just a bit slower. The game is free and it gives you multiple ways of earning drachmas, via the weekly rankings, tous etc. I am a non coiner and by having patience I own the army of a coiner. I must admit, that when I started I lost my army like 3-4 times in 5months. Though once you learn the game, then you can keep up pretty much fast. Keep raiding and building! Remember, participate in tournaments you can benefit from with lowest investment :)

From the way this game works coiners are a much needed thing however harmful they are, the only issue I have with them is that they are able to essentially bombard a city forever without a pause unless the city in question activates protections in those situations I dont think coiners are good but however else they are needed.

While its easier to read. CAPS is mainly used online when people are arguing since people who see caps are more likely to read it and take note therefore giving the impression of shouting. e.g. How are you, HOW ARE YOU the caps one is easier to read and also draws your attention.

Why do you keep trying to make people think you are not a coiner. I have seen your city and you are definitely a coiner and there is no denying it. Your city has lev 21 buildings and decor galore. So be honest with others and yourself. Also, why not use your real in game name on forums instead of making another name for the forums?

There is a different in level of being a coiner I myself have paid to have a full set of level 5 walls, towers and now some decorations such as barricades troops etc and i will be upgrading to max buildings when I can however there are some players who spend thousands if not more just to get numbers of troops which a normal player can only dream on building within a realistic timescale.

Whether it is 200 dollars or 1,000 dollars, that's not the point. He is trying to say he is a free player basically, but if you seen his city you would know a few hundred dollars has been spent.

I understand where your coming from but in the grand scheme of things the player who spend a few hundred are really not the problem.

I have no issue with people who spend as they can spend on what they want. It is more how they claim to not be a coiner or spender , but they are.

to be fair that is their choice, it is possible to be strong in this game without the coin, you just have to learn the game well and be smarter!

I know a guy who spends thousands on the game, dumbest player I know, he has never HAD to learn the game and therefore still asks stupid questions about agreements, capitol cities and even pans!

So in all honesty, you have like hundreds and maybe even thousands of Champions like many hard coiners do?

Greetings Archon, Sparta: War of empires, is a game that It's all about knowing when or what to sacrifice in order to get what you want. If you want to focus on def you sacrifice some off in order to increase your def and your champ units. Many tours gives you legendary ones as a reward.

E.g The current exp tour gives you legendary units as reward. You can get at least 2 legendary def units without loosing a unit if you just do the quests such as liberating a city, raiding a city for resources or raid a city of a level, as well as besieging a city :)

As Drag mentioned, there many good discount offers that you can invest your drachmas on.

I play 5 different versions of this game and haven't spent a dime.  Yes, it takes time to build up and I understand that.  However....  at my current level I have seen players come in weeks after I do and are now 12-15 levels ahead because of the bottomless CC.  3 years ago there was no Divine Quest/Special Ops/Daily Quests and it took over 3 months to reach lvl 30 without buying drachmas/rubies/crystals, etc.  When I came here I made it to lvl 30 in 3 weeks because of the Dailies, and I was taking my time.

The thought that this is a "strategy" game is completely false.  There is no strategy when you can have an infinite number of troops and not run the risk of having them desert because you can't feed/pay them, as it was 3 years ago in the early days of Pirates, Total Dom and StormFall..  That has to be the absolute worst "improvement/upgrade" that the flying monkeys at Plarium ever came up with.

If you have a bottomless CC, good for you, but you basically have nothing material to show for it.  So what if you have 10K Agema Horsemen or spent $1000 on Drachmas.  They don't get you anything in RL.  With Plarium being a Beta setup, it could be gone tomorrow and all the crying in the world will not get you a reimbursement.

If I have ticked some people off..... Good.  Maybe some will begin to understand things from the little guys perspective.

Hello back :) Do you like Sparta? :)

you can play this game completely for free and even build your city walls, probably not décor, from drachmas u earn slowly if u have discipline not to spend it on reviving and stuff. wait for wheel discounts and so on.

yes majority updates are heavily suited for coiners and I would like to see also more noncoiner updates!

for example generals is decent update in way that if u pay you get items faster, if you play u get them eventually but slower. this is good on paper because not like sketches u simply not going to get any decent amount doesn't matter how much u play at least not atm.

back to generals, idea is good, but here comes trick. if u manage to get items I don't believe u can upgrade them without major coining(good items)

type of coiners in this game

1. once off, they buy some good package for 20-50 dollars, to improve city/walls etc.

2. buy small drachmas every few months

3. monthly payers, so they usually spent like 30-100 per month (instead of going to pub one Saturday for example they spent on game)

4. weekly and less

all above could be considered as very light coiners or first 2 are not really coiners at all ,just because they spent few.

5. then u have people who spent from buying packages daily/weekly, lets summary it per month in thousands of dollars

these are truly coiners who upset balance of game.

and u have 2 types of these also.

1. they have gigantic army but afraid to lose it, often quit game when they lose their 200mil attack

2. gigantic army but have no problem to revive anything and everything, there are lots of rumors they are plarium sponsored players to stir game so more wars and more spending happens.

Good explanation on categorizing coiners, I do agree on that people who spend such little as going out for a drink they are not coiners. It's an affordable expense of their entertainment.

About the 2types of coiners I do not think there are sponsored players but just very wealthy people. For an average person like me, spending 100$ for a game might be a lot comparing to my salary, but for a person who earns thousands per month, for them spending 1k$ per month  might be just a days work. So things are kind of relevant to what people do for a living , to what they prefer to spend on (some prefer spending on a game rather than drinking 3drinks for example) etc. We cannot just categorize all people, because from a 'branch' million other branches come out...

Everybody is free to spend or not to, it's up to them :) The game is Free to play after all!

It would be nice if everyone was actually truthful about this topic. Fact is "non coiners" cannot build level 5 defense, get champion units (at least very many of them) or any special bonuses from the store. I've noticed when I first started playing it was easy to get new members to join new coalitions. Now, because new members are at such a disadvantage they are only joining these dumb "sister coalitions" or "trainee" coalitions of the more powerful coalitions. Basically without an investment in the game you are forced to kiss everyone's rear end so you don't get attacked or hopefully join one of those so you have  some sort of "gang" watching your back so you can stay in the game. There was a time when new coalitions did pretty well but now they are just popping up all over and dying. Many lower level coalitions that I have seen the Hegemons are usually always under siege. So, for anyone to say that "non coiners" can compete with those that even spend a few hundred dollars on the game is not realizing the facts. Yes, they can if they have the protection of a large coalition willing to take them in other than that they are sitting ducks. Membership has gone down as well. Many of these so called "powerful" coalitions who claim they only take say, level 60 or higher have been allowing lower levels to join indicating that there is not as many people playing this game as everyone thinks. Either that or actually finding members who don't quit after level 30 anymore is not an easy task. So, IMO, there is no doubt that "coiners" have a huge upper hand and sadly iit is ruining the game. But how else can you compete? Any wall under level 5 you are dog meat. Personally, they should change the name of this game to "Sparta, War of Egos".
