Ampitheater and etc.

I had a battle at the amphitheater and the enemy don't fight. Does it mean we can upgrade everything just by waiting for a joke fight every 3 hours? Is this your answer to our suggestions?

i agree,

this new thing is wierd as hell, i saw my fair chare of games but this is some lame version of cookie clicker

what is the point even, mmm, plarium game devs are making wierd stuff instead of makeing the game more playable for non-coiners, good to know they have their prioritys straight....

but i see this is their anser to many people complaining about unit training speed, but its very weak, mmm, i aspected more, but hey we are still talking about plarium i assume ;p

btw: patchnotes and announcements would be nice next time...

This is appalling... first the Capitals that have practically no player interaction but at least could be more or less ignored... Then the generals that added more micro-management to an existing feature (elixirs) and overloaded the already tedious game play.

And now... this absurd new building with more stupid stuff to micro-manage and upgrade... The scrolls/study was already enough.  Why not just add a few more levels to the learning tree and use the development time and effort on something that would make the game more fun and enjoyable instead of more tedious and annoying.

To top this the out-of-scale Roman style Cyclotron/Colosseum building is a hideous eyesore on my city map.  I wish I could wipe it out... The designer of this feature should be executed for putting this ugly design on our city maps! One more disgusting downgrade of the game to a dumb icon clicking endurance contest.

This has put me on brink of letting this addiction go... Plarium, you are about to loose me as a player (and I do regularly spend money on the game)

The lame battles have nothing to do with aim or how fast you can click(hell, the server cant handle the speed of res building clicks, so why introduce another clicky thing), just another casino chance whether your hits connect or not, like the lucky spin on persian payouts. Back to the 3hr countdown(or drachma only boost) with zero spoils if a battle lost.  Would have been better if they required aiming skill or having to click moving bar at right spot etc like sports direction-power selector games.

As said, more micro management in an already tedious chore of a game.  The game is no fun at all, just the same mind-numbing fiddly tasks expanded futher and if you quit it's a waste of what you already spent, so you're trapped in a prison of tedium.

Thank you for your feedback, guys. But let's look at the bright side of the update:

1) You have the ability to receive many good bonuses, and that's for free.

2) You can hit monsters and earn new Resources. That's also for free.

3) There's no need to rush with the upgrades - you have as much time as you need.

Sorry Alyona I don't see any bright side... I didn't want this new "non-feature" and I already spend too much time micromanaging this game.  The "bright side" is that some other players will waste their time on this feature so if I don't I will loose ground. This features cancels out advantages that I have spent huge amounts of time and money acquiring. The General already did this (making elixirs and capitals much less valuable) and I hate it... I hate this one even more. It unbalances the game.

So it's time to either invest more time and money or quit playing.

I have decided to choose the latter.  Plarium is certainly already working on the next nightmare in this endless stream of idiotic downgrades...

This will continue until there are no players left.

Today you lost a very active level 77 player who spends over $100/month on the game... way to go. Have fun without me!  I am very angry at myself for wasting all this time and money on your stupid game.  It's time to stop the addiction!

i see what you mean mate,

i made many request in my 2 years i have been playing the game to change the attitude of the plarium develpment an dthe only thing i get back is the standerd anser: "we are working on it but updates take alot of time..." blablabla.

the honest thing is that plarium sees only one thing: HOW TO MAKE MORE AND MORE MONEY

and yes as a companny its very important to do so, i have a companny that is also in 5 difffernt coutrys and is on the stock market and all so pofit is the main goal, but my experiece tells me that if you don't do it properly and start to exploit employees you get problems

and that is what plarium is doing, they find ways so people spend more money but they don't give proper game develpment as a counter service, there is only two words to sum all what plarium is doing: BAD MANAGEMENT

to sum up some things they are not doing good:

1) no proper servers, this mean frequent glitches, error, crashes, lag.......

2) bad update info: please explain what you updated before you implament it, not after it only confueses

3) bad updates: people ask for cetrain changes but its not met at all or very weakly, and i think the last update is to be ashamed about, even cookieclicker is better

4) exploiting players: the game becomes more money intensive every day, over the last 2 years the sum to be a stronger play has tripeld

and i would go on but i have already told it enouf times over the last few years too all people wanting to lissen

the thing is plarium doesn't care, as long as they get an X amount of new players a day and lose X-1 members a day they remain happy and don't care, that is the hards thrueth but the only way i see i and other can fix this is to stay active, keep fighting their way of develpment, in every way you can, let the voice of those who wany change sound harder then theirs, for instance i stoped spending money( i do not implanet you do the same, read this too game devs before you ban me again, i'm only telling what i did) a long time ago, but i remain active and being a pain in the as-s

and maybe, some day they will see they are very rong, but will see, i'm sorry to see you leave the game mate, hope you find a better game to play (one not runed by plarium global)

regards DES

These new agreements are a kick in the eye to players who spent a year finishing their agreements off. Those players had luxury of using aquired res now exclusively for build queue(whenever sketches not used).  Now with extra rungs added to the ladder, the monotonous climb begins again. Even worse for players further back, to have goalposts moved further away when halfway there.  Sparta for example first new upgrade from 20-21 approx 500k res and approx a week waiting time.  This game is dying on its ass, it won't last the length of time to complete all these new things.

And there will be a wider gap between the smaller cities and the larger ones. I lost all hope - how can I attack a pan now hoping to catch offense? Their offensive pieces are now worth more than my Offense.....

I am very disheartened by these changes. Ill take a week off - feel free to raid my city for rss for these new upgrades

Okay, I'm going to be unpopular for saying some of what I'm going to say but I will say it anyway.

Dear Forum Lady,

Hi, it's me again!

So there was a nice big update that dropped and it did a few things and people are whining. Guys, stop whining. Seriously. There is constructive feed back and whining and I've seen mostly whining. Really? A kick in the eye of players? That is whining. Pointing out that the update information and the manner it was put out was terribad? That is constructive criticism.

Okay, so it's a game and has to make money. This is priority one for this game. It's a business. Fine. How do you keep current players around? With updates of course. Will they please everyone? Nope.jpeg. But it can please a lot of people and extend the game.

Let's look at this from the Dev POV. What is an already elaborate system that is in place that can add a lot of time to the game? The Agreement system. Horrendous timing issues aside, as a system is is a neat idea. A very rigid system that is based on luck and severely limits player choice, but as an idea, I get it. Tacking on extra levels creates massive time and resource sinks which all games need as time goes on. All MMOs raise the level caps. Okay, maybe not all of them but I feel safe in saying most of them do. Like 99%. Raising the level cap on Agreements was an easy thing to do for the Devs and makes sense. I disagree with the draconian timers however.

What's another way to add new life to the game and level the playing field between Old and New Players? Add in new resources. Personally I hate this but I understand it. In Star Trek Online, an MMORPG I have been a part of since its servers went live, I have survived the initial explosion of currencies, a radical reduction of them, and watched as the amount of currencies have ballooned past the initial amount of currencies. The Amphitheater gives us all new currencies to get, thus leveling the playing field a little. And it gave us something new to spend the resources on. The Phylarch Skill Tree.

I, for one, welcome our new Phylarch overlords. It ultimately gives players something I really like. PLAYER CHOICE. Not everyone will have the same bonuses picked out. Everyone won't be cookie cutter any more. Or at least less so. So kudos for this idea and kudos for putting it in the game.

I do have to take away one of those kudoses (kudosi?). The implementation of how you get the new resources for the PST is cringe worthy. You know when you scroll through facebook and see something one of your friends/relatives posted and you feel a sense of dread wash over you because you are related to them and no amount of wishing will change that fact? That feeling is about the amount of shame that should be felt by whoever thought that a pseudo gladiator clicking thing was a good idea. Sure it gets us our new resources but at what cost? That particular devs dignity, that is the cost.

The servers are slow. And can barely keep up with minor clicking when gathering Wood or Bronze. And you guys thought an animated "fight" was a good idea? How high were you? What you could have just as easily done is add the new resources to the PP system. You would have used an existing system, encouraged more use of it, and saved yourselves some embarrassment in showing off how slow and unresponsive your game server is.

TL:DR: +1 for update of Agreements, +1 for Phylarch Skill Tree, -1 for Phylarch "fight" =+1 overall

Sincerely,

Guy who will complain using this form letter style in the future

I agree with your comments and here are some of my own - http://plarium.com/forum/en/sparta-war-of-empires/news-and-announcements/30315_new-agreement-levels-/?post=193519

further more the coiners who have so much concern for the little new players make me laugh and in reality does a level 90 raid a level 50 no the level 90's play with themselves (pun intended)  I am level 90 + and the game is getting boring so changes are needed. from my point of view weeding out the inactive players sitting the pans by in essence degrading their troop "power" is a great thing, this will do what the caps did for the coal rankings to the players, flush out the dead ones.

and remember you don't need to spend a dime to get to level 30 of the agreements, I am level 27 in the agemas already and all I needed is boosts that I have plenty or I could have waited.
