The Syndicate Needs Help!

Conduct Combine Black Ops To Earn Big Rewards

SYNDICATE HIGH PRIORITY MESSAGE

Commander,

We're in an emergency situation. The Syndicate is under attack by a shadowy organization we've dubbed the Network. It has hundreds of secret Cells and we need the help of your Combine's Special Operatives to take them out. Go to the ""Combine Black Ops"" to see what awaits you!

Your objectives are simple: dispatch Special Operatives to engage as many Black Ops Threats as you can. Eliminate Cells and give us valuable intel to locate more. This isn't just for our benefit; your Special Operatives will reap Operative XP for defusing the Threats, and we'll pay a premium in Rewards for eliminating entire Cells.

The Network is keeping close track of your activities, though. After a Special Operative engages a Threat, the Network will be on the lookout for agents with that Operative's Specialization. Exposed Special Operatives with that Specialization cannot engage any further Threats.

However, if you can obtain a Special Operative Alias - or invest some Blue Diamonds to get the work done for you - Special Operatives with that Specialization can Reintegrate for a second mission. That's it for them, though. It's too risky after that. If you're going to eliminate all the Cells we uncover, you will need to work alongside your Combine - Special Operatives with the same Specialization from different Members can still be used!

The forces protecting some Threats will have training from a particular Branch. Just as when engaging Flashpoints, if your Special Operative's Branch counters the Branch of a Threat's forces, your Special Operative will receive a 25% Attack Boost in the engagement. If a Threat’s Branch training counters your Special Operative's - or if the Threat’s forces don’t have Branch training - no Bonus will be applied.

Rewards

Like we promised, we're paying good Rewards to see the Network stopped. These come in three forms:

- Personal Rewards. You receive these Rewards for defusing Threats. They are the same Rewards that you would receive from defusing Flashpoints in the Special Operatives window.

- Major Cell Rewards. These Rewards are given to the Combine upon successfully eliminating Major Cells. To receive this Reward, you must have defused at least one Threat since the previous Major Cell.

- Special Combine Reward. This Reward is given to a Combine that successfully eliminates Cells 30, 50, and 100. To receive this Reward, you must have defused at least one of the Threats during the current Combine Black Ops Assignment.

Defectors

While performing Black Ops, your Combine will pick up Defectors from the Network.

Defectors don't fight, but they share valuable intel with your Special Operatives when discharged, granting significant Operative XP. You will receive Defectors as part of your Combine's Major Cell Rewards. Like all Special Operatives, a Defector has a Level, Rank, and a Tier.

Prepare your Special Operatives and get ready for Black Ops. The Network has resources and is extremely dangerous, but hit them hard and those resources could be ours.

It's time to get rich, Commander.
