"Capture the flag" - combine tournament.

Hi there!
Here is an idea for a new tournament.



- When this tournament begins, randomly appear on the map some "nest houses".

There will be 1 "nest house" for each of the existing Combine.



- Also some "flag bases" appear on the map scattered randomly and will be numbered (flag1, flag2, flag3, etc.): these "flag bases" simply are bases that contain a single unit of resource ("the flag").

You can send an occupation or a raid to one or more of these bases.

You can not perform more than 1 action simultaneously towards the same "flag base", but you can act on different "flag bases" for a maximum amount of actions equal to the maximum amount of repositories that you can occupy simultaneously (always 1 action for each "flag base").



- If you send an occupation on a "flag base" and you arrive first, you put your Def-units inside the "flag base", you do not collect the flag but you oppose those who sent the raid (defending the base and the flag-resource contained in it); if you send the raid, instead, when you reach one of these bases, it disappears from the map (you raided the "flag-resource" contained in it!).

If a player reaches the place where the "flag base" was located after you have raided it, his raid or occupy immediately returns to his bunker (he arrived too late ... and the target "flag base" is no longer on the map: exactly as it happens on the repositories when all the resources are extracted from them).



- When you raid a flag from a "flag base", your raid does not return to your base, but will automatically be sent to the "nest house" of your "Combine" (the same mechanism that occurs in a combined attack, where your units are sent in a third direction, after your reinforcement has been sent to your friend's base): in this case the new direction will be given automatically by the game, when you reach the "flag base" with your raid.



- The flag will make its appearance on the map again when it is deposited on the "nest house" of the player who took it on the map.
For example: a player reaches the "flag 56" before the others and his raid will be redirected to his "nest house", after a momentary period in which the "flag 56" disappears from the map and nobody knows where it is (i.e. while the player who has taken it is going to his "nest house") after the "flag 56" will be deposited on the "nest house", it will again be revealed to everyone that the "flag 56" is in the "nest house" of that Combine! .... but until then no one will know which Combine has taken the "flag 56" that was previously on the map (... unless the "flag base", in which the "flag 56" was contained, it did have reinforcements inside, when the player who took the flag took it away from there).



- You can even steal a flag from the "nest house" of another Combine.
If you go steal a flag from the "nest house" of another Combine, you can use no more than 20 offensive units (you can also make combined attacks where each player can use no more than 20 units ... so in total a maximum of 60 offensive units can be used, if you make a combined attack, consisting of 3 players).



- Each successful attack aimed at a "nest house" of another Combine, can subtract from 1 to 3 flags, depending on whether the attack consists of only 1 player or is a combined attack, consisting of 2 players (2 stolen flags ) or 3 players (3 stolen flags) .... but at least 1 unit of each player must survive, so that subtracted flags correspond to the number of attacking players (i.e. a combined attack of 3 players in which a player's units totally die, can subtract only 2 flags ... because only the units of 2 players survived the attack).
The attack is then immediately redirected to the "nest house" of the attackers, in orden to deposit the stolen flags in their "nest house".



- The "nest houses" can be reinforced by the players belonging to the "Combine", but each player can send no more than 3 units.
Additional units in reinforcement can not be sent by you, as long as your share of "3 units" is present on the "nest house" (or is traveling towards it).



- Even the "flag bases" can be reinforced (using the "occupation" command) in a limited way, with a maximum of 3 units for each player.

Occupations (reinforcements) sent to a "flag base" can only contain units belonging to players of the same Combine and they works in a similar way of repositories:

  • defensive units (max 3) must be accompanied by offensive units (max 10).
  • only offensive units fight, if you come across a "flag base" occupied by someone else.
  • the occupy actions belonging to the players of the same Combine do not conflict with each other but each occupation after the first releases on the "flag base" the defensive units (max 3) of the allied player (the offensive units return home) .
  • on the contrary: if an occupation (or a raid) of a player belonging to an opposing Combine arrives on a "flag base" occupied by one or more players of another Combine, in this case there is a clash between the offensive units of the one who arrives (max 10 units) and the defensive units of those players who are already inside the "flag base" (the defensive units of the attacker do not fight and can not be destroyed).


- The movement speed towards the "flag bases" and the "nest houses" is the same towards the QGs (super fast movement speed... and max 1h regardless of distance).


- Each flag held on the "nest house" of your Combine, gives 1 point per minute to each of the players who sent defensive units on their "nest house":
Example: there are 5 flags inside our "nest house", but only 10 players of my Combine sent reinforcements on the "nest house" (in total: 30 defensive units deployed) ... if we are able to hold all 5 flags for 1h on our "nest house", each of us ten players score 300 tournament points (in total: 3,000 points earned by Combine).
If a player sends reinforcements on his Combine's "nest house", but there are no flags inside it, no points are accumulated by the player(s).



- Even every flag carried in your "nest house" allows you to earn 50 points, immediately after depositing it in the "nest house".

Therefore, referring to the previous example:

in the "nest house" of my combine there are the defensive units of 10 players (including mine), each player has allocated 3 defensive units inside the "nest house" (30 def-units in total are deployed).
I carry 3 flags in our "nest house" (I get 150 points).
another player of my Combine (who has no defensive units deployed in the "nest house") carries 2 flags on the "nest house" (he gets 100 points).
The other 9 players who put defensive units in the "nest house" did not bring flags, but they have units in defense of the "nest house".

So, if we are able to keep the 5 flags for 1h on our "nest house", the result will be the following:

- 450 points for me (150 points due to having brought 3 flags and 300 points for putting defensive units on the "nest house" for as long as all the 5 flags were kept).

- 300 points for each of the other 9 players (they had units in the "nest house", but none of them brought a flag in the "nest house").

- 106 points for the player who brought the other 2 flags in the "nest house", but had not deployed any units in defense of the "nest house" (... with the exception of the last 6 minutes, in which his units have reached the "nest house" to defend it).

Total combine score:  3256 points.

Hello!

Thanks for this idea, but, unfortunately, we won't be able to implement it in the near future.

The thing is that we don't accept the suggestions regarding big new features or major changes to the game. Features that would require creating a new balance; server, client, and UX/UI development; artists’ work, etc. will not be implemented. Our developers have a lot of cool big features in their backlog, but they cannot implement all of them at once. So, unfortunately, we don’t accept such suggestions for now.
