I understand to a set degree the mechanic. But it makes no sense. Why is there a rss bank. It is a mission where only the offensive and defensive rating should count. Do you go into war and purposely throw away troops or do you deal with the target in one fell swoop with overwhelming force and take drastically less losses. When you can not even build up a massive force much bigger then your opposing force and suffer less casualties. I had 3 mil offense and defence go up again 147k offense and defence. My losses 167k enemy losses 147k. And this was with a offense boost of %20 applied. That there is extremely illogical. It appears that the game makes diamond recovery the only means to recover unless you want to build up troops in base normally which would take weeks if not longer. This hidden mechanic is a deterrent to a lot of players. Spec ops is not fun. Even those who know the mechanic make one little mistake and bam. Troops gone. Diamond revocer there you go. Game mechanics should be explained. Purposely leaving mechanics unexplained where the player has to spend money to properly recover is sly and wrong. Even with raids I have had similar issues. Sent 4mil o/d. My losses 1.1mil. Enemy losses 550k. My troops are rediculously upgraded, my hanger, barracks, depot and hydraulics bay all level 22 which is another %10 on top of their offense and defence.

I have even had 4 ops missions in a row without any unit drops at all. Solo missions are supposed to be fun and accessible to all. Increase the unit drops.
I totally agree with u ,the ops hav changed since the last update!!  They are not as before

We haven't changed Operations reward mechanic since the date that we launched the game. If we change something in the game we inform our players about it in the in-game news.

I have a hard time believing this statement.....  since last update my rewards on ops have changed drastically..... all players I know would agree with me.

As the level of your Operations grows, it takes more time and effort to receive big prize. Rewards increase too. This is why it is important to choose the strategy that fits your playing style.

Not if you use anything other then low low tier units. Otherwise once you start getting payed out in armour and aircraft you can not seem to break even, let alone build up troops.

With armour and aircraft you do not always get back what you bank. I would start with set offence and defense, bank my troops. Get the reward and that reward would see my offence AND defence significantly lower then before. Maybe by %10-15. When you are talking a hundred thousand and much more even. %10-15 is a fair amount.

We know of the time and effort but as dedicated players that know plariums games, we have tried every method

and the way you have it set up is making it harder and harder for us to compete against,

nothing is comparing to what we actually put into the banking and what we actually get back once we have discovered after reapers

it seems it all goes down hill

I will no longer be paying for any packs. Tonight i lost 20K in diamonds reviving troops, Lost over 1.5million power in marines, grenadiers, mech non enhanced troops, trying for an ops win all i got was a  T2 legendary key and XP out of the entire time attempting ops.

alternatly expand the barracks to allow players the options build a fair amount of troops
OPS Are ridiculous wastes of troops, Plairum is equally ridiculous.

^^ Fair call friend. That is my belief also. They exist to drain your troops. Or atleast after discovering units after Reapers. Payouts in armour and aircraft do not cover your losses. Payouts in infrantry and reapers do. And once you start getting rewarded armour and aircraft your are stuck. Because you only have armour and aircraft to put back into the Ops missions. All downhill from there.

Hi, Tig.

I've deletedd you previous post in order to avoid... (but I'll pass it for comunity to take into consideration). I understand you but, please, be polite if you want to have a dialogue, not ban.

Mods are the same players as you, with no preferences or cheats in game. And we have the same problems in game as any other player.

Frankly speaking, in my opinion, Soldiers is a hardcore game: development, technologies, getting good army.

Opps are smth like roulette and credit in one bottle. You can get nice troops, but you'll need them to get next prize.

Opps mechanic is cruel. You'll get more and more troops - send them to next opps and once they can just end, no prize (looses are too small for bank) and no troops. For those, who play any plarium game it's clear and expect. No prize but it should be - it's making anyone mad.

There are no official info about detailed opps mechanic, only players experience.

It's up to player to send all troops and hope for prize or undermine, calculate and store.

Tig, it's up to you - pay or not to pay, live of leave. But please, be polite.

FYI, ou can post your opinion in Tavern branch, but, please, avoid calling all around idiots - it's not true and it's no wise =)

If operations are no missions that you can win by using logic where as a larger more powerful army defeats a less powerful one; you might as well replace that with a straight roulette and introduce the Soldiers Inc Casino mode. This way it's clear to all player this is just gambling for a chance to win. You said it yourself, this is a hardcore game, hardcore players expect to influence their fortune by logical behavior. We did install Soldiers Inc, not Casino Inc...

commander

operations reward units , exp and much more

there are several ways to grow your army ( which is not OP's )

in matter of fact their main use is for leveling up and winning other items while receiving some of your losses as a units payout
I'am me and that is what i care about :)

Spec Ops are the most disliked mechanic of the whole game. Out of our 100 member alliance, everyone avoids them like the plague. It feels like your are playing the pokies when doing them, Because even when following all the advice out there, like have your resources maxed, do not use strategic units because they do not count for RSS, use infrantry for spec ops otherwise get a payout comprised of armour and/or aircraft that does not cover your losses. It still feels like a mechanic designed for 'coiners' who can revive their losses.......

Literally I am seeing more and more players not even using the Spec Ops mechanic now. It is plain awful and anti-fun. The mechanic has no logic to it. It is not warfare, it is a waste.

Calculation of the reward is performed according to the special algorithm. Rewards are received according to your losses at previous Operations. After you reach a certain point you get a prize in Units. This is why you do not receive the reward at each operation. It is normal. Units you send to each Operation are counted. You will be given the prize automatically by the system once you hit a certain Operation and receive your deserved bonus.

It is pretty much gambling with troops. And the house wins a lot....

When you bank 1012 firewolfs and 506 annihilator tanks and get back 131 firewolfs and 31 equalizer bombers..... And it is NOT a split reward. You know Plarium are forcing your hand to buy diamonds.

Disgusting. You DO NOT GET BACK WHAT YOU PUT IN.
