Game won't load because it says it needs an update. No update available in Google play store. Forced stop play sore & cleared cache. Still won't work.

Same exact thing for me, on android LG V20.

If it helps you, I force stopped google play store, cleared the cache, restarted google play store and the game appeared available for update this time. After update it launched.
