Hexweaver's Dark Embrace healing much less than it should

Hello. I recently started playing and needed a healer, so I invested many of my skill books to upgrade my hexweaver. Unfortunately, something is wrong with it's heal, Dark Embrace. After getting it to level 5 it's supposed to heal all allies by 45% of their max hp. However, in battle the tooltip still says 15% and in practice it is definitely less than 45%. A quick test leads me to believe it's healing much closer to 15% than 45%. Please help. My account name is IShouldntBeOn.

So the 10% added is 10% of the value of the original heal, not adding another 10% based off max hp to the initial formula? That stinks. Do all skills in Raid work this way?

Heals are multiplicative and debuff/buffs are additiv.

You've been very helpful. Thank you. One last question though lol. Are the buffs to shields in the masteries section multiplicative or additive?. I ask because I thankfully got Madam Serris and was wondering how the buffs to shields will affect her passive (recurring shield of 10% max hp).

I totally understand what you're dealing with.

Like you, I read the description and thought that it meant 45% max HP heal of each ally when the skill was maxed out.

I went and invested 10 books into her.

I feel so cheated.

There should be a way to get these books refunded.

I would destroy the character if it meant getting those books back.

The time investment to run her through dungeons, and the time investment to raise 'food' characters to upgrade her would be lost,  but at least I've have those precious books back to invest them into a character that's actually worth it.
