Yep, when you look at the new legendaries many/most are more desirable than the originals, this is part of the marketing strategy, 'yes you have Warchief, Pyxniel, Elagius, Treela Goremane (to name but a few) but we're not buffing them, we made that mistake with Ma 'ashalled, however we can put shard packs out for you to buy and  try to get the new better champs'

Nah, they will buff the weaker legendaries... but it's not really their first priority, indeed. And probably won't buff them to the extent of making them as OP as Ma'Shalled. 

True, I pulled him early doors and he sat in my vault, I nearly used him for food so many times but so glad I didn't as he can take out some arena teams on his own now
