Ally Protection vs Clan boss Gathering Fury

Turn 8. 

Clan boss hit with A3 (AoE without poison). 

Skullcrusher protected 4 allies taking 589, 1300 (crit), 620, 660 damage. 821 was damage taken directly from hit, not through ally protection. Protected champs received 647-1306 damage depending on their defense.

Turn 17.

Clan boss hit with the same A3. 

Clan boss had been gathering fury since turn 10. Everyone took thousands of damage from hits, including Skullcrusher who received 5832.

Skullcrusher protected 2 champs taking 589 and 660 damage.

All damage redirected from allies on A3 hits Skullcrusher took in a fight was 589, 620 or 660. After turn 20 too.

Why wasn't damage redirected to Skullcrusher increased with Gathering Fury?

Bonus info: redirected damage from A2 hits was always 491, 517 or 550. It means if we let A2 multiplier be 1.0, then A3 multiplies is 1.2. A2 crits were always 1083 and A3 crits were always 1300. Is is roughly 100% crit damage. And criticals seem to not be subject to random ±10% if it's 10%.

Skullcrusher was in Stalwart and had Blastproof and Delay Death masteries, but it should have equal effect on turn 8 and 17, so it doesn't explain anything. The team from left to right is Tayrel, Vrask, Bulwark, Frozen Banshee, Skullcrusher.

I have absolutely no idea, but that's fascinating... have you tested in other areas of the game if Skullcrusher always seems to take the same amount of damage like that on different hits, too?

No, I haven't. I may check it later. He is not in my usual dungeon teams.

This was my first attempt to gather information about boss stats, both ordinary and unique like how much damage Gathering Fury adds. I know his Speed, Resist (found a post with it) and Defense (calculated it).

I recorded a video, then wrote down all the numbers.

The ultimate goal is to develop clan boss simulator that gives expected damage with given champion stats and skills. Chance of that happening is less than getting a legendary from a void shard, but it's the path that matters, not the final result :)

I tried him in Dragon. He received 3 different damage values from Tayrel AoE, the same values from other champion's AoE, higher amount from single target hit and quite high damage from Dragon AoE. In all cases damage he received was of the same magnitude as protected champions. Values were 570, 600 and 660. Interesting that the range is wider than 589-660 observed in Clan Boss.

So the "3 values" part happened again, but there was no abnormally low damage.
