I"m also looking to advance in arena. I'm currently G1/G2.
RIght now i use Spirithost (5*), Apothecary (6* fully ascended), Dracomorph (6* fully ascended), Kael (6* fully ascended)
Turn 1 - APoth speed boost
Turn 2 - Draco weaken
Turn 3 - Spirit increase attack
Turn 4 - Kael Acid rain
I use the same team in defense

Acutally i keep Kael and switch draco and zavia. I'm working on speed for zavia and Kael. Apothecary is over 200 speed right now.
It is slow to be honest for g3. Try reaching around 250 speed on your turn meter booster and with speed lead.
Lower half of g4, if i remember it correctly, I can easily farm there before with 280 to 290 speed turn meter booster (i need two boosters coz my nuker is no longer fast enough not to be cut by my oponent)
And for upper half of g4, to challenge speed teams there, Ive made my turnmeter booster 300+ speed (still i needed double speed boosters, second one is only around 230 speed)
So at this point, you probably need better gear than better team comp to advance.
