Hydra mischief

The hydra with mischief is usually the one that eats one of my champs.  Is there an effective method to overcome Mischief?

I am Hyrdra Normal.

you know, I've noticed the same thing, anactodally.  Whenever a champ is swallowed and mischief is there, it is almost always mischief that swallows.

obviously a hex debuff is going to be your best method. outside that, hp burn and strong aoe attacks will go a long way towards getting your champs back.

Today is the first time I got a champ back from a Mischief Hydra that ate it.

Did I discover another secret power from Plarium?   lol

I get them back from mishive. I just think its odd that 90% of the time he's the one that eats my champs.

Mainly happens because even with block buffs, he still steals tm from his target. That means he is getting more turns than the other heads, which makes him more likely to be the one who eats.

The two most likely eaters are mischief and suffering - the latter because of his double turn.

Also remember that decay can't eat if provoked, and that blight will prioritize toxic cloud over eating. I think wrath will also favor provoke, and a few other similar situations.

All adds up to those two being the most likely eaters.

I think decay still eats when provoked? But I am still always guessing when my champs will get eaten ... the mechanics of skipping or eating while counter is at 0 are a mystery to me.

Definitely does not. The skipping when counter at zero happens when the the head which is up next to eat has a higher-priority move to use.

I know for sure that Decay will skip when provoked. The others I'm not totally certain about - would need to catalog some test cases.
