Floor 94

I just wanted to share how frustrating it is to me, as someone progressing the game for the first time, that the Doom Tower floors are far and away harder for me than the bosses.

Currently, despite absolute confidence that I can kill the remaining bosses, I will likely be stopped at floor 94.

The crazy Rotos/Siphi floors at the end of last rotation I could manage but nothing I have seen is remotely like this. There does not seem to be strategy involved at all. I simply need to blow them out of the water compeltely or stun lock them for several rounds.

The first wave is two Cupidus, two Venus and an arbiter.

I tried my five toughest champs just to see and they got absolutely wrecked. The comp is so strong that without non-stop CC I am totally boned. It would help if I could increase my defense but we got two champs in there stripping my buffs. I cant even tell you what champs exist that would prevent this onslaught.

Very upsetting. I already quit raiding in WoW cause I hate doing trash so much. Its not fun, I wanna kill bosses.

This is just the nature of the top doom tower floors. Get crowd control and win.

I have loads of crowd control. But that does not cut it. I need HARD cc for days and days. Remembering that everything I do results in two cupidus smacking the hell out of me so things like my Bystophus, who I lean on heavily in DT are wrose than worthless.

To design the game so strategy goes right out the door is silly to me. If the wave cannot be allowed to move or react at all that is not good design to me.

But hay, I like interacting with the game I am playing.

There is a Doom Tower guide with champ recommendations on ayumilove site.  After that it is all trial and error. Don't worry about the number of turns it takes.

Could someone here give me an example of how exactly you handle that floor?

Normal or hard? On normal I just toss four random aoe nukers. On hard I auto all floors with pythion + kimi + maulie + skarg + filler

can you post a picture of your roster? i'm happy to provide you with my team (warlord, rotos, lilitu, ma'shalled, lydia), but unless you happen to have those specific champs, i'm not sure how much help that will be.

i use a seer team and just nuke them all.

in the past though, provoking was always the most effective/reliable CC for me.  if you can stun or provoke, you've got it.  if you're trying to do turn meter manipulation, good luck. it definitely helps, but i've always found it very difficult to rely solely on it.

and then you get to the floors with tormin and all of that goes out the window... 🙂

Believe me I am not a big hitter by any means, and the champs I use are primarily by trial and error. The team I tell you about has been in place since Floor 1, and I am up to  FL 110, except when the rooms or bosses make other specific requests for a different team.

For FL 94 I was using Arbiter, Scyl, Drex, Teela, and Cillian (L). Those may or may not have any synergy together, not my intent, but they win.

The first 2 are in case someone dies, but in all my floors, not one has died. Drex and Teela light fires (hp burn), and Cillian is my heavy hitter so to speak.

Best wishes to you.
