I am holding at the moment

7 legendary heroes and 8 epic heroes ready to be summoned. I am not aiming at CvC but at worthy fusions to do the champion chase part. 

The heroes might be former fragment fusions or DT champs. 

I currently have frags for 4 leggos (2 voids including mithrala) and 3 or 4 epics.  I also have food trained up for another relickeeper and 3 broadmaw.  That should be close to 4.5k points in a chase.  I don't use them for cvc.  I'll hold them until I need them to get another champ.

the urge to resist gets better as your collection grows and the need to build each champ is less and less.  Yes some of them might be fun to tear the wrapping off and play with.  But it's hard to see how any of them are going to be absolute game changers at this point.

Addressing the topic though.... I also save things in the portal for as long as possibe. Had Drex in there for AGES, and I think when I emptied everything for the Kyoku tourney, 5 leggos and a couple epics.

I only have 1 legendary waiting now. Trying to build back up, but the old school fusions and are making it a slow process.

If you don't need a champ right now, it seems easy to save the pull. It's not like I'm going to build or book them immediately. Always something to work on, even if it is just focusing on Hydra, Tag or making sure to stay current on Doom Tower daily.

Always save until champ chase or CvC. The points are 100% worth it.

CvC is the way less favorable of the two places to pull portal champs too. Just giving yourself a hard time on Champ Chase, or at least forcing yourself to use shards you could be saving for guaranteeds. Especially if you go 0/10 like someone here on Sacred 2x. :`(

Oh sure, I personally would never pull during CvC - but that's largely because I see CvC as a complete waste of my time :)

But others take it far more seriously than I, and for those people, it could be a pretty valuable source of points.
