Advice? If I Buy A Pack, My Next Pack Cost More?

So basically my packs usually cost like £50-£100, but i havent bought 1 in like 2 weeks, just got a 60% offer for £15 Double exp pack, and im about to hit lvl 50, if i buy the £15 pack, will the lvl 50 pack cost more than it would if i didnt buy the £15 pack?

Hope that isnt confusing, any advice would be great.

I know exactly what you are talking about. I bought few packs in the past and all the offers I get going forward are expensive. Now I don’t mean they are deals that cost more and give more.

You get the same deals as everyone else but they cost more just for you as they know you are willing to spend. Where as for anyone who has not spent much money they get the same deal for lot less. It’s basically a trap and I realized it after comparing offers with couple of my friends.

Since then I have decided to keep my wallet closed for this game as I feel cheated.

That's actually so fucked up if it's true.

Feeling cheated as well, level 30 pack was close to $100 and many other people had it for $30-40 and all kinds of different prices much lower than $100.

Drop rates for epic/legendary champions on void shards and legendary champions on sacred shards are a complete ripoff as well. $20-50 per attempt for a .4% chance at a void legendary is stupid. Would be nice to get a better value for my money from these shards, wish I noticed the info button that showed the odds before I spent any money on this game.

Edit - wanted to add a few more gripes. Having legendary champions rely on synergy with another legendary void champion is TERRIBLE. With that .4% chance to even get a void legendary, I will spend the rest of my life trying to get that.

Void and sacred shards not being available for gems is also disappointing.

I just hit lvl 30 and my lvl 30 pack was $99.99. Insane that they could try to even offer me that absurd price for hitting a certain lvl. It is NOT ethical to treat your portion of the fanbase that supports your game like this.

They seem to only care about milking cash from their players before their players realize what's happening.

It's extremely disheartening. If most of your paying playerbase feels cheated, you're doing something wrong.

The fact they've been entirely silent about this is not a good sign. Seems to suggest it won't change...

Here is hard proof that they charge different prices for the same reward package. They offer larger packages to people who pay more. Disgusting.

Hi

I wonder if you can print-screen your spring pack. So we can compare prices.

For me, I am not spending anything except the exact packages that I am waiting for, because i don't want them to become more expensive.

Your policy brought you -1 spring package sales, Plarium.

Hello

I have experienced the price increase as well and forwarded all feedback onto the CM's/Devs.

One thing I would like to clear up is that the packs offered at a higher price actually better value for money, though I just can't afford them as they are too expensive for me(family man). These deals are different and do scale with the cost.

What has helped me lately is the double pack deals, offering a lower price version of it.

many thanks

I would agree with you, KIWIMCSHEEP, if I haven't seen this:

IMHO, the two 49 pounds packs offered are not the same in value for money.

All the players want is to receive the SAME offers with the SAME values regardless how much they are spending and how much the company wants them to spend.

By the end of the day, the company is selling pretty pictures, which has no value in real life. You can't resell them or use them in another way. Once you've closed the game, they worth nothing.

So all these "new marketing and sales strategies" only ruining the company's reputation and making players question if they want to spend money to be ripped off even more in future.

There is no point in making these sneaky offers and pushing players to pay more than they are comfortable with. As we all share information and the truth about unfair deals will come out. It is not that hard to get, really.

It seems the cowardly moderator removed my post from this thread so I will write it again. Yesterday I bought the First Blood pack and when I compared it to my friend, he was offered the EXACT Same pack for half of my price. Under consumer law in my country that is illegal.

It does say alot about Plarium and the moderators of this forum when they remove uncomfortable information that users provide about being cheated on prices.

I swear IF a moderator remove this post as well I will take it further into legal matters.

When you say the "exact same," do you also mean the amount of each item is also the same number. For example, the same amount of gems, energy, shards, etc. Or do you mean same kinds of items, but the amount of each item is different hence the different prices.

Yes and yes and yes.  Players are being penalized for spending $$$ on this game.    Sadly, I am also a victim.  My level 50 pack was  $100 which i did curse........

I think the problem is children with too much money. OK, listen up kidd-o's, pricing may vary (as it does for most every product in the world) based on:

-region (economic, cultural, and exchange differences)

-player focus (one player may care more about gems, another shards)

-insintives (ie drop prices to encourrage someone who hasn't spent in a while)

These are perfectly reasonable justifications for per-player pricing. It's a free market out there, why would a company set prices according to whole-market elasticity when they can do it per-player?  This doesn't make you a victim, it means their company is making offers to YOU based on YOUR useage patterns and what they predict is most likely to get YOU to make a purchase. Don't like the offer? Don't take it. If their algorithm is work a crap it will adjust offers to what it thinks you will take. Nobody is getting "screwed", there is nothing "unethical" about per-customer scale and pricing. With big data/ML this per-customer advertising, offers and pricing is pretty much ubiquitous online now.
