Upgrade Chance

As you upgrade gear, the chance of upgrading success goes down.  Is there any way to improve your Upgrade Chance once you reach the higher levels?

or is it just a money pit were you keep dropping coins into until you get through..

It's a money pit.. and an expensive one.

Genearlly speaking, +12 is reasonable to get on all your slots. I'd only +16 something if you really wanna max something out, or have a quest to do so

yeah this upgrade probability system is broken as hell and is obviously designed to be an absurd money pit. I have gotten ten fails in a row on "High" probability. High should be >80% chance. Medium 60%. Low <40%. lowest be 20% or something. I shouldnt need to spend $100k on going from13 to 14

7.2mil silver has got me 420 points in the latest Artifact enhancement event. I cannot imagine they realistically expect anyone to achieve 3000 points given the money pit involved!

100% agreed. The cost is way too expensive and the chances is very low. With such mechanics i think no body will able to completed artifact event. They should make some adjustment and increases the chances. 20-25% for level 13-16 is still make sense.

nothing but smoke and mirrors...

its an absolute gold sink and the rewards vs investment for the now mass spammed "events" are just a kick in the nuts.

Why is this not a much larger debate?  This is one of the most annoying aspects of the game. I just spent almost a mill to get 1 item up to 12 !!!

I noticed medium chance from 9 to 10 took 11 tries !! ?????  Really ???? What are the % changes involved here?  it is absurd and makes no sense.

if you start farming spider 20lvl silver wont be that much of the problem you can sell some unwanted accessories for 50k +

and if you enchant fails so many times in the row stop and do couple times by single enchant and try again. some times its looks like its gets locked to fail many times but if you stop once in the wile its fine. you can enchant from lvl 1 to max for ruffly 3mil

on other had you don't need to finish all events complacently. Enchant event one of them specially then you don't have enough decent gear to be maxed out

One more thing, they need to increase the rate of glyph enhancement. The higher the level of the glyph, higher the probability it will fail to upgrade the artifact which is annoying because who cares about lower glyphs never failing. Are they even reading these suggestions?

Yes, we read them.

Thanks for it.

Since you're reading, VALDYS. I knew this game was a money sink from the start with the spammy deals, and packs. But I was having fun and I decided I'd keep playing until I didn't have fun anymore. Well, realizing I'm probably not going to get the legendary summon crystal because I don't have the patience or the time to grind the upgrade slot machine, is going to get me to stop playing. In the first month. I'm the sort of player that makes a point to pay for free games periodically too if I'm having fun.

But because of the way this game is designed, I immediately felt like I'd been conned when I bought some summon crystals. I bought it because that was the $ amount of enjoyment I felt I had, but I still got the "feeling conned" feeling. So, I guess capitalism says you guys shouldn't care what one broke gamer thinks, but this is the beginning of me letting go of my emotional investment in the game that leads to no longer playing. I'm also not buying anything else because I don't want to feel bad again.

Edit: I think a really simple solution might br to give new players a few "freebie" tokens, and to complete one task a month without actually doing the task it (obviously the complete the dailies/weeklies should not be skippable). That way at least this doesn't become a barrier to people staying in the game.

People also suggested making upgrading more expensive and raising the chances of success. The game would still be a money sink as intended, but it's a money sink that's easier to plan for which would frustrate someone like me less.

At least there have been several improvements to the process of upgrading artifacts.  The one button upgrade is a great improvement, and it tells you how many turns it took and how much silver.  It was awful doing that one click at a time.  On the higher level upgrades 15 and 16, I don't even try without 1.5 million in the purse.

I tell myself that it is all free silver for me, except for the time that the game has uselessly wasted me. IMO once you start buying silver it is bad news.  The most I do is use some gems to get silver, but those are free also.

For me it's either Spider on autosell or tag arena tokens for 50K...otherwise, I'll just grind for it and be patient

The uncertainties of upgrading must be resolved as a way forward for this game. Otherwise, there'll be more leaving. The "High", "Medium" & "Low" indicators do not help at all! I suggest:

After a maximum 5x amount of silver (wasted) spent on the same artifact, the 6th should be an automatic upgrade success. In this way, we can plan/budget rather than be frustrated.

Hope the administrators will put a smile on our faces by doing so!

P/S: Do consider making the same changes to obtaining good ranking legendary/epic through our shards.
