Hi Rue! I think what you're referring to is skills that have additional effects once you have ascended your champion to 3 stars. Some champions have skills that will become more powerful once the champion has been ascended to 3 stars, while others may have an aura unlock. By viewing that skills, you can see what the added benefits will be once you have ascended.
