Help Make the Forum Better

Captain,

We’ve released a few important updates and features to help make our Forum better.

1. Spam protection. We’ve implemented an automatic spam blocking system to more effectively rid the Forum of spam.

2. Email verification and password recovery. This adds a level of security to your account and allows for easy password recovery.

3. Ability to paste YouTube videos into a post or comment. You can now watch YouTube videos right here on our Forum.

4. Ability to upload pictures from your devices and PC. You’re now able to add pictures to the Forum from your own PC and devices as well as the standard URL image links.

5. Backend improvements were made.

As always, we’re eager to hear your thoughts. If you experience issues on the Forum or feel that some feature should work differently, please don’t hesitate to inform us.

Feel free to offer your own suggestions about how to make our Forum better, and we will gladly take them into consideration for a future update.

This Forum was specifically designed with you in mind, so we welcome and appreciate your feedback.

I would suggest that the devs finally fix the selection bug. Type anything, then hold Shift and move to the left using your keyboard arrows. You should be selecting to the left but, instead, the selection will keep resetting as if you selected from left to right and are now shortening that selection.

i'd like to suggest to do something about the lag on this forum.

i typed the above sentence, went to the toilet, poured myself a drink, fed the cat and it still wasn't there fully.

this entire reply took about 20 minutes before every letter showed on the screen.

*hugs*

The lag doesn't happen for me, except when writing the first private message to someone. In that case, every character triggers an XHR call from jQuery to https://plarium.com/forum/en/profile/messaging/pm/<user_id>/. Until they fix it, maybe you can try blocking that thing with an ad blocker. I just tried it, and it seems to work. Not sure if it messed anything up, though.

Hello!

Frankly saying, I cannot introduce this bug on my PC. Tell me please which browser do you use?

I have never experienced such lag, Captain. Most likely it depends on your PC and OS version. I hope Crowbar's tips will help you.

Version 62.0.3202.62 (Official Build) (64-bit) on Linux, but I don't think this is a browser issue.

See here. When moving to the left, I'm holding Shift, which should result in the selection growing towards left. Instead, the cursor keeps skipping from the left end of the selection to the right one.

As for the lag, throttle down your network (in Chrome's Dev Tools) and try then. Try also in a new private message (i.e., one to a user you never wrote to before), as that's when the lag happens to me.

1) The link is invalid :(

That is what happening when I hold Shift and move to the left using a keyboard arrow: http://joxi.ru/Dr8dOkqI4q7q3r

That is Shift + Ctrl + left: http://joxi.ru/E2pz9waS9o3ozr

I thought It is the way that it should work, doesn't it?

2) And as for lags, we'll test it and I'll pass the info to forum developers. Thanks.

Yes, it is.

Did you try more than a single click (holding the Shift all the time)?
