I downgraded a level 7 bastion three times (server: siren's strait) and I tried to upgrade my bastion from level 5 to level 8 three times. still i am not able to upgrade my bastion to level 8. It says i have to downgrade a level 7 bastion, but that cant be possible as i already downgraded a level 7 bastion three times now ... i wasted a lot of rubies and stoneblocks during the process.
Is there anything else I have to do?
I don't know what the Bastion upgrade requirements are. If you could show me a screenshot, that might help.
When a requirement to upgrade your Bastion to some level is the downgrade of some other Bastion, then this downgrade needs to be done just before the final upgrade.
In other words, if you need to downgrade a level 7 in order to upgrade to level 8, then your own Bastion must be a level 7 (i.e., just before you go to 8) when you fulfil the requirement. If you are level 6 and you downgrade some other Bastion, it counts towards the requirements for level 7, not for level 8.

See my previous answer. You had to be a level 7, not 5 or 6.

That's an unfair weaseling rule.
The credit for downgrading higher levels shouldn't have to be repeated. For example, if a Level 7 player downgrades another Level 7 player, and are themselves downgraded to Level 6 before upgrading to Level 8, they should not have to hit another level 7 player to qualify for a Level 8 upgrade.
I don't make up these rules, and Plarium certainly won't change it.
Personal opinion: some kind of demanding requirement needs to exist, to avoid someone taking down, say, a level 19 Bastion and then do all upgrades up to 20 on that one single win. What exactly would be "fair", we can discuss, but it's kinda pointless when we cannot influence it.
