Explain this one, Plarium

As you can see from the images provided, something very fishy is afoot.

The first image is from my account showing the disc launcher and helix rack for 13.99 and 27.99 respectively.

The second image is my mate's account where he's being charged significantly less than me. Given that we both live in Australia, what's the justification for this, Plarium?

I've spent more than him to date on mechs and weapons, and I suspect that prices on my account have been adjusted because Plarium thinks I'm prepared to pay more.

No doubt an admin will write this off as being a bug, but I'm curious to hear the justification/explanation, all the same.

You are correct. It isn't a bug, it is because they know you are more prone to spending so they don't have to try to hook you into the deal, while they are likely still trying to get your friend in the meta trap.

You should also note, the cheaper set is lower rank, meaning although it looks like a deal, Plarium knows to make these useful, they'll need to be upgraded, and quick. The way you quickly upgrade in this game is by spending more, and as blueprints are based on gacha loot boxes mostly, your friend may end up spending more in the long run (if paying to upgrade both).

Plarium always wins. Haha.

Hello! The Offers may vary on different accounts as they are generated considering different parameters. Having something more expansive means that you may have something another more cheaper 🙂

Note: The items with different values in OPs post are at different ranks. As well your accounts could be in different regions. It would be helpful to share your regions so we control for any variables when investigating varied prices for the same items of the same rank

Yes, that was already pointed out and discussed. My post was just to show how low the price might be for f2p, as example of the "catch'em with low prices, then inflate prices when they're stuck in the meta trap" system. Thanks for the input, though!

Your first purchase will always be really cheap, after that the price goes up.

It just how these games work :(

Well spotted though!

The interesting part of this (to me) is that it isn't the discount that changes between accounts, but rather, the actual base price of the item changes in each example.

As was stated by the commentator above, the items with different values are at different ranks. Thus, base price of the item is different as these two are basically different Offers
