Hotatsu's passive not working correctly

Device: iPhone 12 Pro, Dell XPS 15

OS: iOS 15.1.1, Windows 11

WTR (way to reproduce the issue):

Step 1: Fight the clan boss where Hotatsu is the stun(A3) target, but can resist the A2;

Step 2: On a 1:1 speed ratio (my Hotatsu is at speed 187), when the clan boss stuns Hotatsu with his A3, Hotatsu's passive cleanses the stun at the beginning of his turn, going on a three-turn cooldown;

Step 3: Three turns later, on turn 6, Hotatsu gets stunned again, and his passive should be able to cleanse it again. Instead, Hotatsu stays stunned and does not get a turn.

Description:

Image 1: In this image, Hotatsu is the stun target, and he has resisted the A2 on turn 2. On turn 3, the clan boss then stuns Hotatsu. When Hotatsu's turn comes around, he cleanses the stun, putting his passive on a three-turn cool down allowing him to take a turn.

i

Image 2: On turn 5, Hotatsu has resisted the A2 again, and as you can see his passive is on a 1 turn cool down before going on turn 5. This shows that the passive should not be on cooldown when Hotatsu receives the stun again on turn 6.

i

Image 3: On turn 6, Hotatsu receives the stun, and the passive does not cleanse it. Instead, Hotatsu loses his turn.

i

Image 4: To further prove Hotatsu's passive is not working correctly, I created another scenario. In the example below, Ninja is the stun target, but Hotatsu does not resist the A2. So, on turn 2 Hotatsu receives the decrease attack, and then cleanses it at the beginning of his turn, putting the passive on a three-turn cooldown.

i

Image 5: 3 turns later on turn 5 the clan boss applies decrease attack again, and at the beginning of Hotatsu's turn, he correctly cleanses it again. Remember, Ninja took the stun on turn 3.

i

Conclusion: It seems that when the passive cleanses the stun, it allows him to attack again on that same turn, but does not let that turn affect the cooldown of any of the skills. In the picture below, the A2 was used on turn 1, and the stun was cleansed on round 3. This means that on turn 4, Hotatsu should be able to use his A2 again, but as you can see it still has a 1 turn cooldown.

i

Hopefully, this helps get this champion fixed. He is a really cool champion that is not utilized in a new faction, and fixing this and bringing some more light to how good this champions kit is would be beneficial.

NOTE: Hotatsu is fully booked, running at a speed of 187, so the clan boss goes first before Hotatsu takes a turn

Sorry, I completely forgot to come back here. I couldn't find anything on my own, but skratch covers it in a video.

Unfortunately according to Skratch Plarium says he works as intended.

Skratch describes a different issue which doesn't apply to this bug report. I have tested Hotatsu at the clan boss recently. I noticed unexpected behavior with the passive. This bug report describes the issue I found.

Summary:

Hotatsu passive has 4 turn cooldown because of the bug. The skill description claims 3 turn cooldown.

Steps to reproduce without resistance:

- Make Hotatsu fast enough to take exactly 4 turns before the first stun.

- Test Hotatsu alone on void affinity clan boss (to make sure stun targets him)

Expected turn order is:

1. Hotatsu attacks

2. Clan boss attacks with poison

3. Hotatsu clears poison and attacks (cooldown 3)

4. Clan boss attacks

5. Hotatsu attacks (cooldown 2)

6. Hotatsu attacks (cooldown 1)

7. Clan boss attacks and stuns

8. Hotatsu takes a turn (cooldown 0)

Expected outcome:

Hotatsu cleans the stun and attacks on the step 8 because cooldown has reached zero.

Actual outcome:

Hotatsu stays stunned which makes him lose a turn when he shouldn't lose.

Extra notes:

The passive requires the cooldown to be zero on the previous turn to use at the start of a turn.

The behaviour suggests a posdible bug in the turn preparation code. I would guess that passive triggers before cooldown is decreased.

I failed to research the required speed before commenting.

Hotatsu needs 180 speed against hard clan boss. Resistance should be as low as possible to avoid resisting the poison.

I created a CB team which can test consistently also cooldown from stun to the poison.

The team runs at 2:1 speed. Hotatsu cleaned the previous stun. That means Hotatsu took two turns after the stun attack, then clam boss hits with poison. At the first turn Hotatsu cannot clean the poison yet because passive still has cooldown 1.

Expected outcome:

Hotatsu cleans poison on the second turn after the poison attack.

Actual outcome:

Poison causes damage and passive doesn't have cooldown. I made a short video showing the broken behaviour when clean should happen.
